Thank you so much for 111 reads. I wasn't expecting this many at all. Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy whatever else I come up with.
________________________________________The sun went down two hours ago. Rashoumon was lost during today's battle because the victim was somehow able to take me by surprise and pin me down. I was held captive for a few hours because of the surprise attack and the criminal took Rashoumon.
What I still didn't understand was the reason behind me not being able to use Rashoumon against him. My first thought was that he had a cancelling ability like Dazai's, but that was unlikely. Chuuya told me that I needed to go home and rest and that he would figure out who was responsible for this and what their ability was that made me unable to use my own ability.
I was tense and jumpy. This was the first time I had ever been in work attire without rashoumon and I felt vulnerable. I hated the feeling and just wanted to get home as fast as possible so I could shower and change.
With only a few blocks to go, I began to ease up a bit. Jinko wouldn't be home for at least another hour because he was caught up at the agency with Kyouka and the dark haired male with that ultra deduction ability. I never bothered to remember many names because they weren't important to me.
I was about to turn the last corner when I was grabbed by the back of the collar and pulled into an alleyway before being slammed into the wall. I was thrown into a coughing fit at the sudden loss of breath.
I glared at the person responsible and was about to say something when I felt a sharp pain enter my stomach. Whatever it was that caused the pain was removed before the stranger wrapped his hand around my throat, constricting my airways. I gasped for air as they inched closer to my face. Suddenly, I could feel their breath on my ear.
"Let's hope that they can catch me before I catch the kitten you so dearly love. We wouldn't want his pretty face to be tainted with colors of red and blue now would we?" He sneered.
I thrashed out violently, angered at the mere thought of him touching my Jinko. I managed to land a kick in his side before he dropped me and stepped back. I clutched my stomach and glared up at the man I hated with every fiber of my being.
"Don't you dare touch him." I growled.
He just let out a short laugh. "You better catch me first."
With that, he ran off, leaving me alone once again. I didn't know how much time had passed or if Jinko had made it home yet, but I was hoping to whatever god was out there that he was home now. The thought of anything happening to him scared yet angered me all at once.
I got up and took one step before I leaned against the wall for support. I realized that he had stabbed me but managed to avoid any major organs. Knowing that i had to get home and clean up before Jinko got there I managed to find my balance and began making my way the rest of the way home.
When I got to the door, I twisted the knob without a second thought. Once I stepped inside I froze. Didn't I lock the door after leaving this morning? Timidly, I looked around the room and searched for anything that seemed to be out of place. Nothing was. I looked towards the kitchen and sighed when I saw that the light was on and someone was moving around within the room.
I moved around a bit and took off my shoes before taking a small peek into the kitchen. I found a small grey haired male pulling a few things out of the cabinets as water was heating on the stove. I smiled as I watched him for a minute more.
He turned around to pick up a plate that I just realized was sitting on the table when he caught sight of me and jumped before letting out a sigh.
"Oh my god, Ryu you need to make some noise when you walk in. You just scared me half to death." He groped at the place over his heart before chuckling and walking towards me. "So, how was today's mission? And where is Rashoumon?" He questioned upon not seeing the black fabric I always wore.
