On election day, a trusted facility staff of the Vice Mayor has been accused of murdering one of the Vice Mayor candidates, Mr. Douglas Tansingco, in the morning of election day at San Vicente City Hall.
They say destiny would always favor the kind and that light would always prevail.
But after having seen the cruelty of this world, after the naivety and innocence were forcefully torn off, they finally realized that the world was not as fair and equal as they used to believe.
Eight maidens. Eight lives bound to fall into ruin because of false accusations. Eight victims behind the identity as sinners the society had casted upon them.
Walking on a thin rope, and one wrong move means a dead end.
Amidst the cruelty and hopelessness, these maidens tried to cling on that last bit of light, wishing this spark of flame could continue to illuminate among the darkness and warm their freezing hearts.
In the end, would justice prevail or would the world once again show how fickle and miserable life can be?
