The Contract

It's been a week since the Launching party and I took the whole week to rest. I told Lucy about the offer and she was super happy. I am happy too, it is like a dream come true but do I really worth this offer this man is giving me, it looked as if it was not my worth. Was it because I saved his daughter, Talking of which, I promise to take her to the park last week but I got occupied with resting, I didn't want to go anywhere so I told her father to tell her I was sick. Hey girl, what are you thinking of? Lucy asked.

  Hey, big bro, it's been a week now and sister in law has refused to call you, I don't think she is interested in our industry. Ried said. Why would she not be interested even after I offered to make Lucy her manager. Nathan said. Well, maybe she is avoiding you. Ried said. Avoiding me? Why would she avoid me? He asked. Well, because you asked her to be your wife, you flirted with her at the launching party also. I mean how would you explain that she called to tell You she would not be able to visit little Clara because she is sick. Ried said. Maybe she really is sick and that's why she hasn't said anything and she couldn't visit. Nathan said. Big bro, I have dealt with different kind of girls and I know this things. They say they are sick when they aren't interested in something or someone. Ried said. So you mean she isn't interested in me? Nathan asked. Obviously, she isn't interested in you. Ried said. Just then a phone call entered Nathan's phone, he checked his screen planning to ignore the call but surprisingly it was Lisa. She's calling. He said. Who? Ried asked. Lisa of course he said and answered the phone. Hi, Mr Nathan. The voice at the end of the phone said. Hi, Miss Olsen , i thought you would never call. Nathan said. Well, I was a little bit sick so I took the week to take a good rest and decide on what I want. Lisa said. Well, now that you are calling, I'm sure you have decided on what you want or where you want to be. Nathan said. Of course that's why I called. I have decided to work with your industry, I thought about it and I realized I'll have a good manager and good management and it would be a very big step up to my career . So I'll stop by at the industry to go through the contract again. Lisa said. OK . Nathan said. I'll hang up now. Lisa said and hung up. Wow!!! She called. Ried said. I knew she was going to call. Nathan said. Bro you weren't expecting that call. Ried said. Get out of my office. Nathan. Come on bro, you wouldn't kick me out because sister-in-law is coming. Ried said. Ohh... So do you want me to cut off this month's pay? And then he pick up his landline and Dialed a number. Good morning Sir. The voice from the other end said. Good morning Kate. I'll be having a guest shortly, a young woman named Alissa Olsen, please let her in when she arrives. Nathan said. OK Boss. She said and he hung up looking at his brother who was still sitting comfortably in his office. Ried, seems like you have been less busy this weeks. How about you handle the Chinese Corporation? Nathan asked. No please Bro, I'll leave your office , I can't travel to China now. I wouldn't want to miss the fun this weekend. Ried said.  You are just as good as nothing. Take this file, this is file on Chamex industry, they need our help with their falling industry. Nathan. Big Bro,  Did I offend you in our past life, why do you treat me like this Ried said. Get out before I change it to the Chinese... Ried immediately rushed out before his brother completed his statement. He knew his brother, if he stayed two seconds more, his brother would give him that file and he was ready to travel to China.  Few hours later. Lisa arrived at the Miller's Corporation, she entered the Company and she introduced herself. You are miss Olsen? Mr miller is expecting your arrival. Please go the the twentyfifth floor, the First office there. The receptionist said. Ok, thank you. Lisa said and took the elevator. When she arrived, she knocked on the door and the voice inside gave her permission in. Good  afternoon Mr Miller. Lisa said. Good afternoon,miss Olsen. He replied. Take a sit. He said Further. thank you. She said and sat down. Miss Olsen this is the contract, Please go through it and if there's any question, you can ask. Nathan said Calmly. Lisa went through the Contract, it was nice. She gets to leave the hotel as her New industry would be offering her a house and a Car. Seems like God is really blessing her. After few minutes of checking through the Contract, she said. Mr Miller, I'm not interested in going into the Movie set. I don't act quite well so I'll just stick to advertising alone. She said. Alright, but if you ever want to, you are free to ask your manager or you can come to me directly. He said. Is that allowed? Lisa asked. What? Nathan asked. I mean is coming to you directly allowed? Lisa explained. You would be the first. Miss Olsen. Nathan said. I'll just stick to  informing my manager if I ever think about it .Lisa said. Isn't your Assistant suppose to be here? Lisa asked. I chose you so she  not is needed here. I can handle it. Nathan said. Miss Olsen is there anything you aren't comfortable with or that you would like to add? Nathan asked. Nothing really, I'm pleased with the Contract I must say, i wasn't expecting anything like this from my first industry, seems my way to fame is only here. Lisa said. What do you mean? Nathan asked. Well I thought when I get signed into my first industry and I model for two years, I could sign up into big industries with bigger opportunities to be famous. Lisa said. You didn't believe you could make it at a go? Nathan asked. Something similar to that. She replied. Please, can you lend me a pen to sign this, I didn't bring a pen with me . Lisa said and Nathan gave her a pen and she signed it and Nathan also signed it. Thank you Mr Miller for giving me this opportunity. Lisa said. I think you earned it. Nathan said. If that's all. I'll like to leave , I'm so Sorry I couldn't visit Clara last week, I was indeed sick, tell her, I promise to make it up to her. Lisa said. I Sure will. Miss Olsen , thank you Mr Miller, Lisa said. Wait, Nathan said. Is there anything else? Lisa asked. Well few minutes before you came I ordered lunch and it would soon be delivered. Nathan said and just as Lisa was about to protest, there was a knock on Nathan's office and after his permission to enter, his Receptionist placed his Delivery on the table at the front of his office table. Your delivery Sir. She said. Thank you Kate, you may leave. He said and she Left. Miss Olsen don't just stand there, please join me. Nathan said and she had no choice but to join him for Lunch. In her front was a nasi goreng, baby back rib, plain rice, Chicken Curry and beef broccoli. Wow, this is so salivating. She thought while staring at the food in her front. Miss Olsen are you going to be satisfied by just staring at the food? Nathan asked. She rolled her eyes at his him and began to eat. Miss Olsen, I don't know you actually Eat, you look like someone who has never eaten a good food, let me take a guess, you only eat junk like noodles, sausages, Nathan said. Mr Miller is that an observation or an insult? Lisa asked. Well whatever you think it is. He said. She didn't reply him and she continued eating. Nathan was so happy he could finally have a meal with her. She is so skinny, he thought. After Eating, He called his assistant to clear up and Lisa stood up ready to leave. Mr miller, thank you for a wonderful and delicious Lunch. I have to leave now. She said. Alright, good bye,  miss Olsen . Have a nice day. He said and she Left. Bro, I know you had a nice lunch today. Ried said entering his office. Tell me all about it. He said. Get out. Nathan said. Big... Or else take... Ried dashed out immediately. His Brother was so good at threatening him.
