She held you tightly in her arms. He was finally taken away. You would be truly safe this time.

Its been 8 months since the Tim incident. I've been to court and testified. He was sentenced for kidnap, attempted murder, assault on an officer, and a couple of other things. I still have many issues due to the incident but life was somewhat normalizing itself.

My family moved to a new town in Texas hoping we'd gotten far enough away that if Tim somehow got free he wouldn't be able to find any of us. My Mom had become alot more protective since the incident. I'm living in my own apartment but it's only a four minute drive from my Mom's seeing as she wants me to stay close.

I lived with my family for four months in their new house before finding a good job and getting myself an apartment. I'm slowly trying to move on from what happened but it just seems impossible.

I work at a coffee shop making different coffee's, tea's, and pastries. The boss is fairly nice and it pays good enough to live on.

I've slowly been learning how to cope with the ptsd from the Tim incident and my boss has been very understanding when I need breaks to calm down.

My new boss has her shop closed on Sundays and gives me Saturdays off so awesome for me I get the weekends off. At my job I've made a new friend named Hannah. She's pretty cool. She came from a rough childhood of being bullied about her weight and having abusive exes. She'll occasionally come over to my apartment and hang out and vice versa.

Other times it'll be me calling her mid panic attack and she'll quickly come over and help me calm down. I'm very greatful to have her as a friend honestly. She works the same shift as me and was my trainer when I first began the job.

With her bad past she's become accustomed to dealing with ptsd and many other mental issues. It's a big help for me having someone experienced in mental issues.

Luckily today is Friday and my shift is almost over. Hannah said tonight we're gonna go for a small roadtrip to Dallas and live a little. I honestly don't think I can handle the thought of such a huge city and possibly being around tons of people but I know Hannah will take care of me. She's met my family and even my Mom likes her and my Mom is very picky about my friends even though uh when she thinks someone is bad she's normally right heh.

"Hey Y/n! Ready for tonight? You can dress up or casual whatever your comfortable in alright! You're more than welcome to raid my closet if ya want." She smiles at me as I politely smile back. "Just worried about being around so many people that's all. And thank you I might take you up on that offer."

She grins and nods giving me a gentle reassuring shoulder pat. "Don't worry if you feel uncomfortable at any time we can find a different place to hangout or just go home. If anyone looks at you wrong or dares touch you I'll open a can of whoop ass on em!" I slightly giggle at her remark and nod.

Time Skip After Work At Hannah's Apartment

I walk out in a f/c dress of Hannah's. "I love this dress but I don't think it'd be good for wearing in public.. I think it looks too revealing or something on me and I don't want people seeing me as a slut.." She smiles and gently grabs me by the shoulders looking me in the eyes. "Y/n if you like it then it doesn't matter what other people think. Life is too short to care what others think about what you wear. You look beautiful girly."

I slightly smile and nod. "Thank you Hannah." "Youre most welcome Y/n!" I put on some nice flats and Hannah helps me with makeup and styling my hair. Once I'm all done up I take a look in the mirror admiring myself. I actually look..Kinda good. I smile at my reflection and see Hannah come out in a dark purple dress. She has black makeup and dark purple lipstick. She's made her already naturally wavey hair even more curled and bouncy.
