Crimson optics scan around the empty main room of the Autobot base. The red mech they belonged to gave a bit of a smirk, completely satisfied to see absolutely no one in sight. This meant his plan should work out smoothly on his part.

As the ex-Decepticon made his way towards the exit however, a cold voice suddenly startled him from behind. "And where do you think you're going, Knock Out?"

The red mech forced himself to relax, turning around and putting on a casual grin. "Ah. Arcee...! Didn't see you there."

Arcee's optics narrowed. "That's the point. Now..." she slipped between Knock Out and the exit. "I know you're not seriously trying to sneak out to race again."

"Of course not," his voice was a drawl, and it was evident by the fact that Arcee crossed her arms that she wasn't buying it in the least. "What? Don't trust me?"

"Not when you're being shady, no," The sports car faked a pout at that, but Arcee continued before he could interrupt her with something he'd whip up on the spot, "You know Optimus doesn't like it when we abuse our abilities like that."

"Now now, my dear Bluejay," Arcee made a face, prompting Knock Out to grin as he closed the small distance between them, "Who said I was going to abuse it? Maybe I let the humans win."

His words actually drew a bit of a laugh from the femme, though it was almost as cold as her posture and tone has been this entire time. "You? Losing a race on purpose? Yeah, I'll believe that when I see that."

Knock Out's grin morphed into a smirk at her words, an optic ridge raising. "Is that so? Then maybe you should join me. I'll show you." As much as it came out teasing, he actually meant the offer. Especially since her joining him meant she couldn't snitch on him.

"Oh no, been there, done that." She knew Knock Out was just probably baiting her, "Neither of us are going."

The sports car tilted his helm at the two-wheeler, leaning down and close to her, voice dropping to a low whisper, "Are you going to stop me from leaving?" There was a hint of amusement to his voice, almost as if he doubted she would attempt to do such a thing.

Arcee opened her mouth to retort back, only to have Knock Out's lips envelop them instead, effectively keeping her quiet. The sheer surprise she felt from the act had Arcee's frame go rigid from shock, even though it only lasted for a few seconds before the mech pulled away. His face was probably the smuggest she's ever seen him, at least since he's switched sides.

"I'll be leaving now, ma chère," even his tone was dripping in smugness, as he efficiently slipped past the stunned femme and made his way out of base. He's just glad it worked without any immediate backlash.
