Arcee walked into the training room, intending on completing her daily routine of stretches and solo-sparring. She was used to being the only Cybertronian in the sparring room at this time, so she wasn't anticipating what she had walked in to see.
Knock Out was already in there, back turned to her. The ex-Decepticon was so lost in his motions, he didn't notice Arcee as she entered the room. Arcee stayed at the door way, wary of him. He and Breakdown may have been cast out from the Decepticons, but that doesn't mean any of the Autobots are going to trust them immediately. Decepticon programming isn't something anyone can just flick off with a switch.
Suddenly, Knock Out's Energon prod made contact with the ground, making a rather loud sound, as he looked back over his shoulder at Arcee, curiosity in his crimson optics. "How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough," Arcee tilted her helm, "You're pretty handy with that thing."
Knock Out turned to face her, a smirk forming across his faceplates as he mock-bowed. "Why thank you. It's a rather useful tool to have." Knock Out straightened up, giving his prod a twirl before it de-extended. "What brings you here?"
"Sight seeing," Her response got a chuckle out of Knock Out, "Am I not allowed to use my own team's sparring room?"
"By all means, go ahead. I'll go make sure Breakdown isn't starting any scraps with Bulkhead again." Knock Out gave Arcee a small nod, as he tucked his prod away, moving towards the exit.
"You don't have to leave, Knock Out." Arcee was grateful that the ex-Decepticon was willing to give the Autobot's their space and allow them to adjust to him being there at their own rate, but she felt bad about how he seemed to always feel he had to get out of their way. He's their ally now, after all. They shouldn't be avoiding either of the ex-Decepticons, and instead try to get to know them better. To put both the ex-Decepticons and Autobots at ease.
"It's fine, I was just about done sparring anyways." Knock Out shrugs, stopping just outside the door, looking back to Arcee. "The room's all yours."
Suddenly, Arcee had an idea. "Sparring by yourself only helps so much. I've not sparred with anyone in awhile, and I know most of the other Autobot's too well that I can predict their moves."
Knock Out blinked at Arcee, momentarily confused as to what she was saying, before his faceplates shifted into that of a look of surprise. "Are you asking me to spar with you?"
"Offering, more like." Arcee gave a shrug, before grinning a little at the red sports car. "That is, unless you think you don't stand a chance against me."
Knock Out smirked at her playful taunt, rolling into the narcissism he was naturally known for. "Darling, I could probably beat you with one servo tied behind my back. Though," he tilts his helm in thought, before shuddering lightly, "that'd probably lead to my finish being damaged."
Arcee rolled her optics at him, turning and walking further into the training room. "I honestly don't understand how you managed to last in this war as long as you have." She stops once she reaches the center of the room, hearing pedesteps behind her, turning around to see that Knock Out had followed her back in.
"Now now, that's my little secret. Perhaps I'll tell you, if I deem you worthy of learning it." He was clearly joking around, smirk in it's place, as he stops a few steps in front of her.
Arcee grins at him, her arms crossing across her chassis, as she tilts her helm. "Is that so? Well, Knock Out, I seem to be doing just fine on my own in this war. But, thank you for the offer."
Knock Out gave her one quick look-over, before shrugging his shoulders. "I suppose. But it's always good to have a back up plan." He paused, glancing back to the open door for a short moment, before looking back to Arcee. "So... are we going to do this, or what?"
Arcee hesitates momentarily, before pinging the door closed, and crouching into a fighting stance. "One thing: no shooting."
Knock Out laughs, as if that was such a ridiculous thing to say, taking a small step back, grinning. "But of course." There was a moment of silence between the two Cybertronians as they regarded each other with calculating optics, before Knock Out spoke up again, "Well? What are you waiting for? Ladies first."
Arcee cracked a slight smile, before dropping it, immediately dashing forwards, closing the small distance between her and the red sports car easily, throwing a left hook. But, for as quick as Arcee had moved, Knock Out appeared to move even faster, leaning back just enough to barely avoid the fist that would have connected with his face.
Knock Out smirks as he followed up his manuever by quickly placing his servo on Arcee's shoulder, giving her a shove in the direction her momentum was carrying her. The result of his counter lead Arcee to stumble, nearly losing her footing.
But the red Cybertronian wasn't going to go easy on the blue two-wheeler, even if they were now allies. He delivers a percise, quick kick to her side as she tried to regain her balance, the force of it knocking her over.
"That all you got?" His voice was taunting, as he looked to his sharp digits, smirking arrogantly, optics only returning to focus on Arcee after she had stood back up.
"You wish," She shook off the slight sting from her opponite's attacks, before shooting forwards, aiming a punch right at Knock Out's faceplates. He'd just barely managed to block with his arm, feeling the impact leave a small dent in the door. "I'm just warming up."
Knock Out grins at that, shoving her back a ways again, before gesturing for her to 'come and get him'. "Do try not to disappoint, darling."
The sparring Cybertronians watched each other closely, as they slowly started to walk in a circle, trying to find the upper hand, and not wanting the other to get an easy shot at their back. After a long moment, Knock Out suddenly charges forward at Arcee.
Arcee nimbly spun out of the way, delivering a quick kick to Knock Out's side as he passed her by. The red mech skidded to an awkward stop, momentarily favoring the leg on the side kicked, before he lets out a chuckle, leaping forward and moving to slam his fist into Arcee.
Having anticipated as such, Arcee pulled off ducking quickly, narrowly missing Knock Out's punch. She used her crouched position to her own advantage, uppercutting Knock Out.
Caught off guard, the force of the uppercut knocked Knock Out back, and drew a pained wince from him. He hunched over for a short moment, only as long as he dared, before straightening again, glaring at Arcee.
But then, he smirked, approaching Arcee quickly and withdrawing his prod, jamming it rather painfully into her abdomen, smirking even more as he watched her optics widen in shock.
"Well..." Knock Out spoke up, rather smugly, "You said no blasters... but you didn't say I couldn't use my prod."
"That was implied!" Arcee protested, moving away from the sharp pain, which only lead to Knock Out pressing on, matching her step for step.
"Was it? Oops... my bad." Knock Out snickers, still giving Arcee a smirk. "Say... you remember what happened in the Subway tunnels?"
Arcee growled at Knock Out, glaring at him as she hastened her steps, hoping he wouldn't shock her. She figured if she made a move to hault his advances, she might trigger the more ruthless side of the ex-Deception. So she stayed quiet, merely backing away and glaring.
"... What I said is true, upon closer examination." Arcee blinked, now confused as to what the red sports car was going on about, before she suddenly hit the wall. Knock Out's smirk darkens, as he leans in closely, applying a bit more pressure, eerily silent for a moment or two.
"You do have lovely features." And suddenly, he pulls away, putting away his prod as he turns and heads towards the exit. "Come find me if you'd like a rematch."
