Chapter 9

Starting that day, Manzo would always study hard and his classmates could see that both him and Kisaki were studying as if they're facing a big exam.

Their first exam went like this.

M: [Several Pictures]

M: Got myself a pretty good high score.

K: [Several Pictures]

K: Got myself a full score on every subject.

K: Try harder.

M: ARGH!

And, it continues again, and again.

Few years have passed and they're in their final year in high school. Kisaki and Manzo are known for their rivalry in every test. They only communicate about their test score and Manzo only manages to beat Kisaki two times.

Kisaki was proud to say the least.
Then, the last tests they have is almost near. Both Kisaki and Manzo were avoiding each other to focus on their studies and people would see Manzo occupied the school library while Kisaki just studied in the classroom.

"Geez, why is Kiyoshi trying so hard to score higher than Kisaki?"

"You haven't heard? Him and Kisaki used to be close and he confessed to Kisaki. But, people said that Kisaki rejected him so he started to study harder to beat Kisaki and get his revenge."

Manzo would love to puke after hearing the amount of bullsh*t coming out from their mouth. He's not heartbroken! He's trying to impress the guy! Besides, this is for him to be a successful person and make sure his future is good enough for both him and Kisaki!

Manzo packs his things and goes to the classroom for their class. Right when he arrived, he saw a glimpse of Kisaki studying real hard. He smiles before sitting down at his seat. Kisaki also glanced at Manzo before showing a small smile that probably no one noticed.

If it goes well, maybe….

Manzo would probably get his happy ending.

Finally, the time had arrived and Manzo was getting pumped up. He now needs to win these last tests but if he fails, he will just have to get a good job and make loads of money like Hanma who already graduated, surprisingly.

They start going through the paper and both top students start to use their brain to answer every single answer. Their classmates are too nervous to answer when they see Kisaki and Manzo already done with two pages. They're surely not human!

Then, both of them finish the paper at the same time.

'....LET ME JUST DROP OUT! THESE TWO ARE STRESSING ME OUT!' Everyone thought the same thing.

When the test was finished, they walked out and Manzo gave Kisaki a smile before going home. Kisaki walks to the opposite side to calm himself down from his heart racing.

The test results are out and they look at the ranking. Manzo and Kisaki stand next to each other and people gasp at what they're seeing right now. Both Manzo and Kisaki got first place for the first time and it shocked all parties.

"Holy crap. They both got the same rank?"

"Damn, Kisaki rejection actually caused something good. Kudos to Kisaki." Kisaki felt himself smiling.

Manzo holds Kisaki's hand while the others are surrounding them. They couldn't see it but Kisaki returned it and held his hand with more strength.

"Kiyoshi, we are finally done with our third year. Let's catch up!"

"Yeah! We should all catch up!"

"...no thanks. This top student, next to me…"

Manzo lifts Kisaki's hand that he holds with a smile.

"I am going to catch up with him instead."

"EHHHH?!"

"Why though!"

Manzo pulled Kisaki out from the crowd and they walked away together.

"Because this top student is mine. He's going to be my future husband. I have to catch up about our wedding~"

A moment of silence fills the crowd while the duo disappear from their field of vision. When they understand the meaning, it causes an uproar between the students.

"People got the wrong idea. I am not dating you though."

"Eh~ We're done with high school. Let's date before I propose."

"I didn't say I would accept your proposal."

Manzo looks at Kisaki with a sad face. Kisaki clears his throat.

"...I am still not falling for you. Are you going to try to make me fall for you again?"

"Yes!"

"...Then...

Do your best to make your boyfriend fall for you."

Kisaki pulled his hand from Manzo's hand and walked away from the park. Manzo eagerly nods his head before realisation hits him.

"DID YOU SAID BOYFRIEND?! YOU'RE MY BOYFRIEND NOW?!"

Kisaki was already gone from the place by the time he asked the question. Manzo is now a blushing mess and he covers his face with his hands. Since when did Kisaki become this brave?!

Manzo stands up and happily screams.

"YO B*TCHES! I HAVE A HANDSOME BOYFRIEND!"

"YO! SHUT THE F*CK UP!"

"Sh*t- sorry-"

This guy would probably be killed by Kisaki if he was in the original world.
