First Times A Charm

♤ Chapter Thirteen ♤

"Merlin pants!" James yelled as he stepped into half of the bubble now fully being in it. "You'd reckon this thing will pop if I try hard enough?" He nudged Harry playfully.

"I can't see anything outside this bubble."
A certain stressful Lily said. And she was right. The only thing they could figure was that half the bubble, the half they just entered, was light and the other half was dark. That only indicates that they'll be their wands light to guide them. Which was also frustrating and genius at the same time. Whoever created this place wanted their contestant as weak as possible, and she knew this was just baby steps.

"Yeah, I'll go first." James declared as he saw his familys anxiety.

"Wait!"

"What?"

"I-I just...be careful! Both of you!"

"Alright Lils will be careful...won't we Harry?"

"Course we will!" Harry bit a sarcastic comment back that what else can we do other than bloody that?!

James then passed the weird bubble layer and carried on walking, Lily and Harry followed him seconds later.

"Woah, did you feel that?!"
James said apprehensively
"Felt heavy didn't you?"
"Yeah!did you feel it too? How about you Harry?"

Radio silence

"Harry??" James turned his back to see Harry freezing in his place. He tried to look the direction he was staring that he realized he was actually bloody frozen!

He didn't know what the fuck to do until he heard his wife shout something , suspiciously close to chanting a fire spell.

"I'm here Harry. Im right here." James saw Lily hugging Harry tight as he started to shiver violently. Lily held him in place for as long as was needed. Until she was sure the cold waves of freeze was leaving his sons body.

"What the bloody hell was that?!" James finally reacted the way a sane person would.

"I think my soul is now in its own body, dad." Harry said with a rough voice. They all looked at eachother for a little longer as something clicked.

"So you're saying...?"

"You lot have your own bodys again. Well... newly repaired I'd say." Harry frowned as he said it. Which James didn't get but shrugged it off nevertheless. He was about to carry on until he heard a walls cracking.

And suddenly,

Suddenly they felt the ground shaking. With a gigantic but rather quick earthquake.

Crash!

"What the..."
They looked behind...The tunnel got closed...there were no way going back...
They then, carried on and entered a room... it seemed pretty hard for Lily and James to walk though ...they've actually fallen a hundred times till they reached the room...

Crash!

There was another sound, it was... pretty clear that the door behind them got closed.
They...were standing in the middle of a bloody graveyard

Steam...coming up from the ground
Darkness invading the light
graves surrounding their feet
And coldness filling their heart

Harry felt both Lily and James drawing their wands out and waiting for an attack at any moment ...
They passed the graves...desperately trying to avoid the bones touching their feet.

Crack!

That was definatly a sound of a bone breaking
"Did you lot break something?"
James said, sounding full of bravery
His relaxed tune gave Harry a great confidence
Washing some of his fear away
But the moment got replaced with even a bigger fear...
They realised that none of them had made the sound...

Crack!
There was another one...

Crack!
And another

CRACK!
And another...

The ground was dramatically shaking again...this time not daring to stop

Every thing happened so fast...
Some parts of the ground seemed to swallow everything around it, including the graves,
Making the Potters running for their life's to find some where a bit safe
Then out of no where...the earthquake stopped...
"Thank godne..."

The sound of the foot steps, made Lily stop talkin

Something was definitely moving from EVERY direction...

A body maybe?...its doesn't look that solid though...
A ghost?...but it has a body...
"They're inferius "
"What?"
"THEY'RE INFERIUS! RUN! "
James shouted
but where to run? The inferus's where apparently surrounding them...
And that's how the horror struck them...
They were lost
"STUPIFY!"
" INCARCEROUS!"
" PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!"
"IMPEDIMENTA!"
"AVAKADEVRA!"
James eyes widened...the killing curse had failed

"NOTHINGS WORKING JAMES!"
"WHAT WAS THAT...UGH GERROF ME! STUPIFY!"
James cried
"WHAT WAS WHAT?!"
Lilly yelled
"WHAT WAS THAT SPELL FOR REPELLING THESE THINGS?! I REMEMBER STUDYING THEM BEFORE! "
"I DON'T KNOW!"
She cried out
"I GOT IT! FIRE LILY FIRE!"
Lily casted the spell and used it on the creatures
it seemed to work! The fire from Lily's wand seemed to repel the infirius's!
"WAIT A...WHERES HARRY?!"
James's heart was pounding uncontrollably..
WERE THE BLOODY HELL IS HARRY?!
"HARRYYYYY!"
"HARRYYY!"
They both yelled
"I hear a sound!"
Lily said...making James to stop shouting and listen

There was a whisper of begging for help coming from some where...but where?
"USE FIRE HARRY FIRE! "
James cried

Minutes later they saw a light coming out of the...ground? Is he in it? Has he fallen in?!
"I'VE MANAGED TO KEEP THEM AWAY! THIS LOOKS LIKE ANOTHET TUNNEL! IM SURE THE EXIT IS OVER HERE! JUMP TO THE NEAREST HOLE TO COME DOWN!"
Harry yelled
"YOU SURE?"
"YES IM BLOODY SURE!"
Lily then ,ran into the nearest hole and fell
"LILY NO!"
James cried
"IT MAY BE A TRAP!"
"IM ALRIGHT JAMES COME DOWN NOW!"
It was Lily! James seem to come down a bit and hopped into the hole
The place was even darker than the graveyard
"You guys ok?"
"Yeah We're fine "
Harry said...though his tune still sounding hurt and frightened
"Lumos!"
James held his wand and examined his family... Lily seemed to be fine but Harry...
" YOUR NOT BLOODY FINE!"
He was all scratched out...draining in blood
"Episkey!"
James cried, holding his wand towards his son
Some of the scars seem to disappear...but the deeper ones still remained
"That's much more better, thanks!"
James sighed in relief
