A few hours later, Gray awoke from his slumber to find himself confused.

How did I get in bed? Was someone here?

He got up from his bed and noticed that the door was left open. He tried to get the thoughts out of his mind by just going out for a walk. It was turning into dusk and the atmosphere became very chilly. Gray stuffed his hands in his pockets and proceeded on.

He approached one of his favorite spots in the entire town, a lake that had water who's edge glistened in the moonlight. He exhaled as he layed down in the grass and looked up at the sky.

"So we meet again I see"

Gray quickly got up out of reflex and surprised to be face to face with the girl he ran into earlier.

"Yeah, I guess we do." the next few seconds was full of an awkward silence.

"So um...I never caught your name.." Gray rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. This girl is tough to keep a conversation with.

"My name? Aurora."

Just then, another sharp pain in Gray's head caused him to wobble a bit. "Nnng..." He grunted in pain as he held his head with his hand.

This is really weird....he noticed that the painful headaches where occurring when he was near her. If only he knew the reason...

Aurora was thinking the same thing. But all she could do is say nothing.

This feeling...I feel like I know him...but at the same time I don't...

"Uh...." Gray turned around while rubbing the back of his neck. "W-were you the one you know...helped me earlier..?" he stuttered a little worried that he could be wrong. For all he knew it could've been Juvia but eh, taking chances isn't a crime.

"Yeah I did, I just couldn't let you, you know-" Aurora casually said.

Gray thought he was finally going to hear something nice from her until,

"- you looked like an idiot laying there passed out."

"Wow thanks for telling me that. I'll make sure to look attractive when I pass out next time" he sarcastically said.

"Well I'm sure you won't have a hard time with that." Aurora blankly said as she turned around prepared to leave.

Gray lifted an eyebrow as he tried to process what the rainbow haired girl just said. "So you're calling me attractive?" he smirked as Aurora turned back around to face him.

She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms across her chest. "Don't take it the wrong way. It doesn't mean anything special so I would dump all those thoughts out that head if I were you." She slowly started to walk the other direction without looking back "Well I see you're doing fine so I'll be on my way." She turned at the nearest corner and disappeared from Gray's sight.

Gray started to walk back home when he noticed it already became fully night. He snorted in laughter every time he thought about Aurora's comment about him. She thinks I'm attractive huh?

He really enjoyed the night time around here. It was calm with a hint of rustling trees from the wind here and there. If only it stayed like this forever...Questions started to grow in his head. Who is Aurora? Why does he feel like he met her before? Before he could even start thinking about it, he has already reached the front of his house.

After opening the door, he went and plopped onto his bed and almost immediately fell asleep.

That night was the most obscure for Gray. It felt like his subconscious is being pulled into a dream but at the same time didn't.

Gray opened his eyes to see that he was in a barren wasteland. Debris of buildings were in a blazing fire. He opened his mouth to speak but no matter how hard he tried, the words didn't seem to come out. Wh-what is happening? Where am I? He tried to move his legs but they were glued to the ground. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!

Then fire blazed up in front of him causing him to cover his face with his arms for protection. The flames died down quickly but Gray noticed something far in front of him. He had to squint in order to focus on it. It looked like...a person....no wait, it's a girl. Her back was towards him so he couldn't recognize the girl.

The girl started to walk forward into the raging flames. The flames' color turned into a toxic black, shaping into a demon-like creature. The creature formed large bat like wings as it was about to enshroud the girl.

Gray needed to do something, but there was little he can do. His speech was restricted and he couldn't move as well. All of his yelling was only in his head. NO DON'T CONTINUE WALKING! YOU'RE GOING TO DIE. STOP!!

The creature roared and curtained it's wings around the girl and swallowed up her image whole. Then Gray heard a voice in his head, "It's coming. You must be ready." the voice had a smooth silky tone to it "It's time for you to unravel yourself. You and your friend are the only ones who can aid us in this war because....it's too late for 'her' " the voice faded away and Gray heard a painful roar as the flames swallowed him up as well.

Covered in cold sweat and with trembling hands, he woke up from the dangerously realistic dream. He looked at his hands to see them shaking. Was it fear? Or is it something else... He looked out the window next to his bed and saw the bright moon. It's light shone through and made Gray's room visible even though it was midnight.

"A friend and I....the only was to save a war..?" this is now starting to get really confusing and frustrating. Tomorrow, he is going to look for answers.

Something strange is going on and Gray will stop at nothing until he finds out.
