Seokjin traversed through the endless hallways of the different doors, trying to look for an escape or an exit. The intertwining system of these halls felt like they would go on for an eternity but he was determined. The light was a sickening yellow and the hallways were dimly lit. Walking around in a brisk pace and going in circles lead him to a big window with sunshine shining through. He was able to miss it at first but he turned back to see what this window was about. He pulled back the curtains a bit more and saw the view the window provided. He saw a huge field, flowers and trees were scattered into a beautiful pattern. He could only imagine that this was what he would be greeted by if he ever gets out. He had the bright idea of trying to open or break the window. He used everything to his disposable; a loose metal piece, old carpet, ceiling tiles and his own bare hands but to no avail. Seokjin took this as a landmark and scraped the walls around the window with a sharp pocket knife and carved out the words 'Hallmark 1' just in case he ran into another on his way. After finishing that, he went along and walked a few more miles before setting himself down on the floor to rest. While he sat, he thought on what to do next. Opening his bag, he carefully took out the flower in the jar and examined it. The flower had seven crystal clear petals, each one refracts differently to the light in the room.
Seokjin stood up, looking for different ways to get out. He suddenly remembered having a cellphone and pulled it out. Unfortunately, the phone didn't work anymore. Atleast, not the way he wanted it to. Turning it on, he was greeted by his phone showing an odd looking starting menu screen. It asked him a question, "Do you think you could really save them?" Seokjin was hesitant about this entity that was speaking to him but determined. "Yes," he replied. The Phone dinged as a new text appeared, "Turn around."
His heart dropped and he suddenly felt shivers. Knowing that something had been with him here this entire time. He slowly turned around to find nothing, but he was still a but shaken up. It dinged again, "I'm just messing with you... Turn left to the next corridor." Seokjin followed its order and went straight to the next intersection. He wasn't really sure if this was a human, demon or some immortal and all powerful being talking to him. Atleast it's better than being lost. He took a left like the 'person' said and awaited for that ding for the next direction. He kept walking slowly to look for clues on which door brings him where. His phone dinged, "Turn right. Go to the door numbered '1'," he kept walking to the next intersection but at the end of the hallway, he was met with a dead end. Now, he was starting to feel he was being lead on. He texted the entity back, "It's just a dead end here."
"Turn right," it responded back immediately.Seokjin mumbled to himself, "Yeah... as if I can somehow walk through walls," he walked towards it and closed and walked forward and lo and behold, he just fazed right through it, "I see..." he said in a sarcastic tone. Looking around, this hallway was different. It looked fancier or cleaner; less disheveled atleast. The halls were covered in marble on the sides and blurred out pictures of people's faces. Pictures so familiar yet so foreign. Though the envuronment was different, there were no change in the amount of doors present. They just look so welcoming now. He searched aroundbfor the door numbered '1' as he was following the order he was given. He ended going around in circles, passing each door by without a thought. Seokjin ran, starting to lose his sense of self in that horrible place. He huffed as he lost his stamina and saw a peculiar sight. Another window. He stumbled towards it and looked outside. This time, he was met with his hometown city but it looked abandoned. The lights and everything was still on but thet were left there like these people just disappeared out of nowhere.
Seokjin marked this window with 'Hallmark 2' just in case he came across it again in his journey. He was awaiting that deafening ding again. He couldn't seem to find the door he was looking for and was about to give it all up. He leaned against a door in defeat and held his head low. This insanity was giving him a headache and he felt his heart racing. The ding that was his only hope of escape became annoying and agitating. Lo amd behold, his phone dinged again, "Are you giving up already?" Seokjin was afflicted to this. He really had no more wit left in his body but had to be true and determined to save his friends. He replied, "No."
The person on the other side took about 5 minutes before responding, "You're still very far from your destination." He rolled his eyes. There is not much for 'destination' if he was stuck in a void like place where there isn't any up or down, left or right. He stood back up and looked down the hall and the adjacent direction. It all looked the same, like a repeating pattern; he was stuck in a non-euclidian world, if that is what he was stuck in.Seokjin never did know what this mysterious flower could do so he carefully pulled it out of the clear jar that contained it and held it with the most gentle touch, knowing that this could be as brittle as glass. The flower though being completely still and stiff looked like it was flowing like wind was blowing at it slowly. Staring at the petals, he thought he saw an image. An image really faint it was almost invisible. It wasn't at all his reflection for the colour it was displaying were green whilst the walls behind him were gray marble. He shifted the angle at which he was holding the petal, the refracted light making the walls shine and glisten. Surely enough, the image became clear. He saw someone on a throne, wearing a green coat and wearing a really bedazzled crown on top of their head. Shifting it again changed the image into a person stretching their arms apart on top of a bridge with a glowing sunset in the background.
The ding startled him and made him almost drop the flower. He swiftly and carefully placed it back in the jar. He checked the message this time and it read, "The door is right in front of you." Seokjin looked up and surely enough, it was door number 1! He stood up and got his bearings and twisted the ball door knob. The hinges of the door creaked like it has rusted for a long time. Setting one foot through, the atmosphere completely changed. He looked around and closed the door behind him, assuming it would still be present once he returned.
The place he found himself in was dark and moist. It looked like an old home or apartment invaded by the mess caused by dirty clothes and other trinkets on the floor. He walked towards a room with the light on and creeped in the doorway.
The scene was horrific, blood was splattered throughout the walls of this room. A man had his guts bleeing out and another was holding his hands, staring at the blood. The man suddenly turned around and their eyes met. "Taehyung!?" Seokjin said, surprised. The poor boy had blood all over his chest and hands and some drops of blood on his cheeks. His face contorted into an upset frown and tears rolled down, "Seokjin-Hyung," he croaked, "I didn't mean to. Please, don't tell anyone," he pleaded."I won't tell a soul"
