Nicki's blood starts to boil. She growls and tosses Carmen's corpse aside.

"Go on." He gestures to her- amazed by her carnivorous state. She growls before him like a rabid animal, licking the blood from her fangs. "Completely. Let. Yourself. Go."

Nicki speeds away, leaving behind rustling leaves and a gust of wind. Someone jumps down from the tree tops.

"Giselle." He can tell without even giving her a glance. He fixes his posture and turns around to face her. She bends a knee before him as a respectful greeting. He waves one of his hands, signalling her to rise and immediately returns it to fold behind his back.

"I apologize for not being by your side, master. That dreaded day was my fault."

"The Coven's politics outranks you my dear. How could I blame anyone but myself?"

"Do you not fear she will deplete the island's supplies?"

"Animals are not like oil. There is no need to fear even if her hunger devours every last one of them."

"But every newborn is different." A young man appears in high society 15th-century British wear.

"Elder Darius." Giselle kneels.

Darius stares blankly at the pair and glances at the corpse a few feet away from them. "Do you know what you have done?"

"What a foolish question....as if I do anything without careful thought." Henry stays mischievous.

Darius scoffs. He whistles and summons a lady from thin air. He asks her to take the body back to the mansion so he can present his case to the other elders. But before doing so, he asks the witch a serious question.

"Is that really...Carmen De Macio?"

"Most definitely master."

Darius sighs. "How will you escape this time brother?"

Henry does not answer. He smugly smirks and tells Giselle to watch over Nicki before leaving with Darius.

Once they leave in the blink of an eye, Giselle rises and follows Nicki's trail. She sniffs the air and starts running. Not as fast as a vampire but not as slow as a human.

While tracking she passes multiple animal carcasses on her way. She hears a little girl crying a few meters away. She makes it to the area and shouts for the person crying to reveal themselves.

"Giselle!" The child jumps down from a tree. She leaps in her arms and bawls some more.

"Why are you here???" Giselle asks frantically.

"I am sworry! I am so so sworry! I left Lydia!" She panics and continues to sob. Giselle hushes her and tells her to go back to the village. She promises she will see Lydia again and she must leave before she becomes someone else's prey. The girl doesn't know her way back. Giselle hushes her once more and tells her to stay in the tree for the time being.

Giselle continues to track Nicki. The bodies along the way double, triple, quadruple. Giselle runs faster. She hears the whimpering of a young wolf and the bulldozing of a large tree.

Her nose can sense the spilled blood of the wolf. The cries are now human sounding, hopelessness lingered in her voice.

She sees it now.

Nicki has Lydia cornered, chasing her up the tree. The frail girl managed to scar the newborn across her cheek. The red head is bleeding profoundly. The newborn heals instantaneously. She snarls and hisses. She moves using her enhanced speed, she is ready to devour the child. Giselle moves similarly and catches her by the throat and throws her into two trees.
