These words were not loud, but the broadcast equipment still picked it up for everyone to hear. It felt like a slap in the face, especially for the ice snow goddess. Did this mean their opponent wasn't going all our despite knowing that they may lose? Even if it was a lie, it was still an insult for them

But Tang Wulin could care less about how they felt. He meant what he said. His reason was simple, if he could stop the attack just now so easily, why couldn't Gu Yue?

It was true that they used the dragon God transformation in the previous timeline. But now Tang Wulin knew that Gu Yue was at spirit abyss realm, so how could she possibly lose here even if she was facing a martial soul fusion? She may not have the strong physique as him, but her control over the element was more than enough to make up for it

This was also Tang Wulin's worry. He knew Gu Yue won't go all out. He predicted she probably challenged the academy so that she could force Tang Wulin to rush over. Unfortunately, he was right on the money.

He rushed out of the Tang sect without hesitation as he heard the news. At the mechanic Area, he just grabbed a random black mecha pilot who was minding his own business repairing his own mech. If mech had any speed regulation laws, tang Wulin's probably broke all of them as he rushed to the arena. Even the pilot was surprised at how the kid was controlling the mech.

And that pilot was now sitting inside the black Mech that was floating above the arena. This didn't go unnoticed as several camera focused on the mech. The pilot was already instructed by Tang Wulin to return to the HQ right before he jumped down. So he did what he was told.

Everyone present now had the idea of who he was, especially from the uniform he wore. This was the so called captain the Shrek representatives mentioned. His arrival was dramatic and imposing while the words he spoke was even more ridiculous.

"...if I didn't, would you have come so quickly?", Gu Yue smiled. Her face had the satisfied look as if everything was as she predicted.

Tang Wulin couldn't help but sigh. This reminded him about how they came to their end in the previous timeline.

But Long Chen was the first to snap back to reality. "Not only do you arrive late at such an important event, you even have the audacity to make up such a blatant lie?! ",he shouted, as he got ready to attack

The other two figures were also ready to attack, especially after seeing Tang Wulin stopped the ice slash.

But Tang Wulin didn't bother replying. He just stayed there.

Long Chen didn't like this one bit. Earlier when those dragons rose from the ground, he could feel his martial soul tremble for reasons he didn't understand. It was an unpleasant feeling and he didn't like it at all.

He charged at the source of the feeling, with no hesitation. His all four soul rings started to glow showing he was going to use everything he had. Even if he is the so called captain of the Shrek team, Longchen was not backing down.

But then, tang wulin raised his hand. It was covered in scaled and transformed into a claw. He folded his fingers except the index and pointed his index finger at Long Chen, without turning around.
