It was a rainy day on Sadala, but in the middle of an open plain, one Saiyan was working tirelessly to become stronger.

My name is Leek.  I'm a Saiyan, born and raised on Sadala.  My parents were high ranking officers in the Sadala Defense Corps, but they were killed in battle a few years ago.  I still have my younger sister, Sage, but she's only six years old, so I can't spar with her.  I slowed down, and went back to my home, where I saw Sage through our kitchen window, eating.

Leek: Hey Sage, I'm back!

Sage: Big bro!

She ran out and hugged me.  I hugged her back, and told her that I was going to my room to get some rest.

Leek: If you need anything, let me know.

She nodded, and I went up the stairs, into my bed, and drifted off to sleep.

Sage: Hey big bro, wake up.  Mr. Cabba's here, asking for you.

I sat up in my bed, and saw my sister in the doorway to my room.  I yawned and stretched, hearing my back pop.

Leek: Alright, thanks Sage.  Tell him I'll be down in a few minutes.

She smiled and ran back downstairs.  I got up, and put on my outfit.  Blue and gray armor, and my red sleeveless overcoat.  This was my father's jacket.  My sister still wears my mother's.  It was similar, but it had sleeves and was blue instead of red like mine.

I walked downstairs, and Cabba was at the table, with Sage handing him a thermos with coffee in it.

Leek: Yo, Cabba.  It's been a while, bud.

Cabba smiled and stood up, giving me a fist bump.

Cabba: So it has, Leek.  I actually wanted to come tell you about a tournament that's coming up.

Leek: Come on Cabba, you and I both know I would beat anyone on this planet in my sleep.

Cabba's face grew darker, and I started to get worried.

Cabba: That's the thing... they're not from this planet.  In fact, they won't even be from this Universe.

Cabba explained the Tournament of Power to me and my sister.  How there would be eight of the twelve universes participating in a forty five minute long free for all battle, and any universe that lost all of it's fighters would be erased from existence.

Cabba: So... yeah.  We need your help.

Leek: You say we, who else do we have?

Cabba: We have seven people, not including you.  We've recruited two Namekians, some fighters from other planets, the assassin, Hit, and... Frost.

My eyes widened at that.  Frost... the man who killed my parents.  I took some deep breaths to keep myself from getting angry.

Leek: As long as he stays the hell away from me and my sister, I don't care.  But if he tries anything, I won't hesitate to put him down.

Cabba shuddered, and my sister looked worried.

Sage: Big bro...

Leek: I know, Sage.  I won't let him hurt me, and he won't come near you.

Sage smiled, and ran to her room.  I turned back to Cabba, and answered the obvious question.

Leek: I'm with you, but we still need two more fighters.

Cabba sighed in relief.  He smiled, and gave a blunt response.

Cabba: I have two more people in mind on this planet.  You remember Caulifla's gang?

Leek: Oh no...
