Fayette's head pounded as cold sweat covered her forehead, she had a terrible nightmare.
She sighed and peaked open her eyes to see a familiar grey ceiling. How'd I get here? She thought, trying to dig through her memories. But she found nothing.
She sat up, the room was familiar yet she didn't know where she was... She didn't know anything. At all. She panicked when the door slowly creaked open, making an eerie squeaky noise.
Rolling out of bed, she ran to the corner of the room. Fear, clear through her eyes.
"Fayette?" Corbin questioned, confused as to why she was acting like this. How does he know my name? He must be another doctor! She thought and hid her head in the blankets.
"Its me, Corbin. Don't you remember? I fed you last night," He spoke slowly, Does he think I'm a baby? She thought, he spoke to her slowly as if it were hard for her to understand.
"I won't hurt you," He spoke softly, his hands raised up in surrender as he approached her slowly. She cringed at his words. Thats what they all say... She thought, tearing up from memories.
"You can't remember can you? The do-... They said this was a normal thing, we saved you Fay, you just can't remember." Her head began hurting again as her heart pounded in her chest, some memories popped up in her head but she couldn't quite catch onto them.
She cautiously got up, scared if he lied, and sat back on the bed, watching as relief flooded his features. "You need to move around a bit and eat, we need your health to get back up. Alright?" She nodded with crinkled eyebrows, not sure whether to trust him or not.
Corbin reached out his hand, she shocked them both by hesitantly taking it.
They walked, hand in hand, out of the room and into a huge hallway with pictures lining the dark blue walls. She studied the pictures and the flowers that sat on a table they would pass every once in a while, her brain found all of it familiar but she couldn't simply grasp a memory.
Her legs grew tired of walking, so she simply let go of his hand and sat down against the wall, taking a deep breath in, she ran her hands through her hair. He watched with sad eyes, he saw the confusion on her face.
"We're almost to the kitchen... would you like for me to carry you?" She smiled and nodded, he picked her up and carefully cradled her to his chest. She almost weighed nothing, which made him scared for her life.
Fayette almost screamed when they entered the huge, cafeteria like, kitchen. So Much Food.
"All of this," He started with a smirk. "Is yours, you don't have to eat it all but you do have to eat more then your regular diet, You need to gain some weight." She nodded and blushed when he sat her down on a very comfortable chair.
"So Fayette," Corbin began as he loaded food onto 2 plates. "Do you know what I am?" He asked, looking at her.
Her eyes widened when she thought about it, what is he? She shook her head quickly and looked at him with a questionable look.
"I'm a vampire, so you can trust me. I'm not evil, I'm trying to heal you," he spoke softly, then began walking towards her.
She nodded slowly and for the first time since she woke up, she smiled a warm, shy smile making him grin widely.
He put her loaded plate in front of her, she stared at it with wide shocked eyes.
"Eat as much as you want and a little more but you don't have to eat it all." But I'm not hungry, she thought sadly while looking at the delicious food. Her attention drew to him when he held a fork with some waffle on it up to her lips.
"I-I ca-" She tried to speak but words wouldn't come out. I can feed myself, she thought with pleading eyes.
"I know you can, darling, but let me, ok?" Her lips formed a frown and she jerked the fork from him but her shaky hands let it fall to the floor.
He watched as pure terror flooded her expression. She immediately kneeled down and grabbed the fork, -shakily as if trying not to drop it again- and let it clatter on the table, making her wince.
"I-I ss-o," she attempted to apologise but began to get the hiccups as tears welled in her eyes.
He hid his anger, what did they do to her that made her cry over a fork? He then pulled her into a hug, as careful as possible, then gently kissed her head.
"Shh, it's alright, darling. It was just a fork, no ones gonna hurt you," he cooed softly before sitting her in his lap.
"Let me feed you, ok?" And she ate a little more then last night, she didn't even bother checking for meds because of how upset and afraid she was. He was happy at the fact she didn't smell the healing meds that was put in her food by him.
