Chapter 2: Rachel pov

Ugh! Why did I grad her hand? I thought I had self control... Never mind that. My cheeks are red. I probably look so embarrassed. It will give me away. Gah, why was I so obvious?
"Um... Rachel?" Emerson asked. I turned around and looked at her in the eyes. Wow, she was gorgeous. Control yourself, Rachel.
"You were just about to run into a wall. Is something bothering you?" She asked, concerned. She looked down at our enter twined hands, and she blushed. I blushed and took my hand out of hers. She looked... Disappointed. That's a first.

"We should hang out sometime... Just you and I. I would like to get to know you. You seem very nice" I told her. She looked at me strangely, but I could see a smile creeping up her lips.

"Yeah, we should." She whispered. I smiled and looked at her face. Her cheeks were tinted pink, and I could feel blood rushing to my face.

"Hey, maybe you could come to my house this weekend! My mom wants me to make friends, so she would be fine with it." I told her. She smiled, still looking down.

"That would be great! But I don't know... My mom would get mad if I go somewhere. I can't ask her, she would scream at me. But I could sneak out, maybe." Emerson said. I was confused. What kind of parents doe she have? They sound awful.

"Um, okay. I'll have to give you my address..." I said, reaching in my pocket for a pen and paper. I quickly scribbled down my address and phone number. I hesitated before I wrote the nine digit number, but told myself I had to. I handed it to her and she blushed even darker when she saw the little smiley face I put under my phone number.

"Thanks, I'll call you." She said. I smiled and stared at her beautiful eyes. Wow, they were gorgeous. Maybe she was...gay? Hopefully. No, stop. Self control.

Emerson looked at me one more time before rushing off to the bathroom. What was that about?
