Stone Wall

You have your stone wall,
But I'm not trying to make it fall.
No, that's not my goal.
Please see that I don't want you to fold.
Just know that I'll stand outside your stronghold,
With a bouquet of marigold,
In the rain, hail, and cold.
I'll keep praising your heart of gold,
Even if I have to stand here until I am old.
Because, baby, there's nothing in the world that would make me scold
The way you choose to control
Interactions with feelings so bold.
Please behold
My feelings so unforetold,
That I would never remold.
When your ready offer me a foothold,
To achieve my goal,
In hopes I won't fall,
Only then will I climb your stone wall.
