When Moon calmed down a little, he explained.

Kids were scared of him because of his sharper teeth, his darker colors and constant rotating face. They liked Sun more because he had happy, bright colors and his spikes rotated instead of his whole faceplate. Maybe also because he was related to the night, most kids don't like it. If it's because they don't want to go to bed or because of the dark, I don't know. They saw Sun as the positive and Moon as the negative, the monster even.

Moon used to tuck kids in bed when it was naptime. He sang songs for them or read them fairytales. His favorite song was Rises The Moon, he sang it all the time.
That was before kids started telling each other that he was a monster. Less and less children wanted to stay around him. At a surtain point, Sun took over the naptime routine. That's when he hid, he hid away from sight.

Y/n wanted to say something, but didn't know what. "Why did they even make me with sharp teeth.." He asked. Y/n thought about it for a second, she wasn't there when he was made or when the idea behind it was created. "I know!" Moon looked at y/n "It's so you can scare the nightmares away" She said smiling. Moon smiled softly "maybe" He rest his head on his knees. "That does sound kinda logical doesn't it?" He nodded. "Yea, if you think about it" Y/n tried to cheer him up a little. "You're like a living dreamcatcher! Keeping the kids safe from bad dreams!" He laughed.

"Hey, lazy bum! You were going to clean the toys over there! All of the sudden, Sun stood in front of them. Moon looked up, a little confused. "Don't look at me! Do your chores!" He said, a little annoyed. "I've already done it, Sun!" He laughed. Sun looked over to the spot Moon was supposed to clean and indeed, the toys were on their place. "Eh- owh... Uh... I swear I saw stuff over there!" He laughed nervously and moon rollen his eyes. "Maybe there's something wrong with my memory chip..." He said, chipping small pieces of paint off his spikes. "Hey Sun, is it okay if I give your spikes a new paintcoat tomorow before the daycare opens?" Y/n asked. He nodded happily. "Oh boy finally! It's been bothering me for a while now" He spun around in exitement. "I can tell" y/n laughed.

As soon as Moon stood up, Sun slammed his arm around his neck. "How you've been partner?" He said in his most Western accent. "I've been shielding in the barn!" Moon played along. He grabbed Sun by the waist and threw him in the ballpit. "So I could plan my REVENGE!!!" "You're gona pay for that!" Sun said while 'holding' an invisible gun. "Bet!" Moon jumped after him. Sun screetched as he tried to crawl himself out of the way but he wasn't fast enough. The 2 sunk in the ballpit while y/n was laughing her butt off. "You 2 are ridiculous!" She said, grasping her chest for air. She looked over at the spot they sunk in but she didn't see anyone. "Haha! Sun? Moon?" She slowly calmed down her laughing, confused at where the boys went.

Then she heard something, a little further in the ballpit. "Sun? Moon? Where are you guys?

I know that again, this is a short one but life decided to drop a moose on my back.
