Moving Day

"Wake up"

"Wake up"

I pushed myself further into my duvet for a bit longer, completely ignoring the wake up calls.

"OH MY GOSH SUMMER, WAKE UP"

And with that I jumped out of bed managing to land straight on my face, eating my carpet.

"Jeesh, thanks mum for that delightful wake up call" I tell her, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Anytime honey!" I hear her shout from a distance.

Today is the day. The day I move out of sunny LA, leaving behind all of the bad and good memories. LA has treated me well (sometimes), I just can't help feeling a little upset about leaving the city. My life here hasn't been perfect, my family hasn't been the same for a while and it has had profound affects on everyone. I have made it through though, and I will continue to survive.

I look up at my alarm, the only thing left in my room (because that thing is evil- always waking me up early- it's created by the devil I swear) along with my outfit for today, and realise I only have an hour till I have to leave. I groan to myself and start to pull myself off of the carpet, I walk around my empty room and begin to feel excited about starting a fresh in a new town, where I will know no-one.

I bolt into my shower quickly wash myself and jump out again, there was no point in washing my hair as I washed it last night. I got changed into my hollister shorts and a black crop top, then after quickly putting on white converse, I go put on some eyeliner and mascara. Finally, I curl the ends of my hair, knowing that I will just put my hair up later because I can't stand my hair dangling in front of my face. The outfit complimented my piercing blue eyes, and my brown hair tumbled down my back stopping just above my bum. The outfit shows my defined muscles along my legs and arms, with my stomach showing my abs in the gap between my top and shorts, but my outfit hides all the memories of this house, ones I can't forget.

"Summer, we're leaving now, get in your car" my older brother Calum shouted up to me.
And with that I ran down my stairs and into my baby, aka my black Porsche.

I had a pre-planned playlist which consisted of songs that I love to sing a long to, and calming songs, perfect for driving. Driving for me is a very calming thing to do, I find that I can relax and think things through when I drive.  My thoughts wonder to the new town that we are going to live in, will people be nice or treat me the same as here? Will my family be different? I can only hope. I concentrate on my sat nav thats leading me to my new life and find myself getting lost in the flow of cars.

---------
5 and a half hours later.

"Mum, are you sure 100% we are in the right place?" I ask her on the car's bluetooth.

"Honey, just because all you see is trees doesn't mean we are lost. And yes Summer we are in the right place" my mum replied.

"EXACTLY MUM all I see is TREES" I shout at her.

"Don't shout at me missy, right just follow our car okay?" My mum laughed.

"Fine" I mumble, and I hang up the phone.
---

We pull up at a modern house which looks huge, I mean the house is just for my mum, dad, brother and I. It's like a mansion, I looks to be about 3 stories with a massive drive and is surrounded by millions of trees all with lights in them.

"I call dips on biggest room" I hear Calum shout as he runs past me.

I smirk at his stupidity, I mean mummy's little princess is going to get the biggest room Cal.

"Dad, I'm going out to explore" I don't bother to wait for a reply I just get in my car and start driving.

Surprising, 20 minutes later I drive into a town, its not that hard to find a town when you have a sat nav in your car. Now there is two things I'm looking for, food and a gym. I hadn't stopped at all on the drive down here, my stomach is making its own songs, so I am really hungry right now.

As I walked into a supermarket, I managed to run into a wall that made me fall straight over.

"Here let me help you up" I hear this deep voice chuckle. I don't look up at him as I'm to embarrassed to even move. As our hands made contact, I felt little tingles run up my arm and it made me feel all warm inside, soothing even.

Gasping, I moved my hand away and stood up myself. After I was up and dusting off my shorts, I felt a hand grasping at my chin, and the tingles started again, slowly my head titled up until my eyes met his captivating green ones.

AUTHORS NOTE

I am back, kind of. I'm looking back on the story now and realising how the grammar is poor and sounds very childish. Therefore, I am going to extend and re-write some parts of each chapter, whilst writing a new chapter.

Q: What's on your driving playlist (or if you don't drive, your current playlist songs)?

(P.S): Can someone make me a cover? Since I am re-writing I might as well change the cover too.
