21: Sick bunny

(A/n: So I know it's been a while but I had a lot of things going on. Studies, work etc. Plus a new project working on (I an not planning on releasing it soon but something for the future) And I know this isn't really big but I did my best.
Now some good news. We are almost at 6k reads plus we reached 1 on the Miruko tag. Never expected to reach there or people to read this but thanks for you time and support.
Now on with the story)

It's been a week since the UA training campus and everyone has returned to their normal routines. With Itsuki and Mirai working hard on the café, Rumi working even harder as a hero and Jacob doing both. Right now Itsuki was on his day off while Jacob served and Mirai worked on the counter, as for who prepared the order.

"Otori need a plain black coffee for table six"

Said Jacob in barely a whisper and shortly after a cup of coffee was placed on the small window that separates the counter from the kitchen.

Otori: "Ready"

Jacob took the cup of coffee and quickly gave the order to the old man in table six.

"Your order sir"

"Thank you my boy"

"My pleasure"

He said with a smile as he slowly walked back into the counter before check for anymore orders.

Otori: "Table three might order some chocolate cake later"

Jacob turned his head and looked through the window were their new recruit sat his hand dangling through the window while he had a tired expression on his face.

"I'll keep that in mind"

Awkward silence fell as the two man looked at eachother not saying a word before Jacob decided to break the ice.

"Gotta say you are a really big help here"

Otori: "Yeah my quirk is a bitch but atleast it has it's uses"

Jacob looked with a curious look at his new coworker not understanding what he meant. Even if he is a rabbit his senses are greatly enhanced and for him it's a huge help. Despite his quirks problems his enhanced senses are something that is always useful so for him that seemed weird. His curious look didn't go unnoticed as he left a sigh and looked at him.

Otori: "I cannot deactivate it. I hear everything, I see everything, I feel everything it's... hell to put it simply. Medication helps but still"

"Heh. I should have known. She found another mess to fix"

Otori looked at him curious not even thinking about the chuckle he gave. Honestly he didn't like being pitied so that was a good change, but what he said drew his attention.

Otori: "What do you mean?"

The rabbit pointed with his thumb towards Mirai.

"She can show no emotions. Plus her quirk... Kinda fucked up her life. I'd rather not talk about its not my place to talk about it in the first place and Itsuki the other guy. His quirk made him into a biological machine or something like that he feels nothing"

Otori looked at Mirai and then back at him thinking for a bit before shooting his question.

Otori: "And what about you? Or your only problem is dressing up at nights and beating up people"

Jacob gave him a huge smile as he closed his eyes. Right now his face was that of pure happiness but he didn't expect what followed

"Well my family pretended I didn't exist since I was four and turned my sister against me, I had to live by myself since I was a kid and my quirk was so weak that I was practically quirkless and even when my quirk evolved I gained all of the bad traits a rabbit has. I am literally scared all the time"
