5: Rabbit nightmare

It was night, and Sakura was cleaning the Cafe since it was Mirai's day off and Itsuki left earlier because it was his sister's birthday. After she finished cleaning she sat on a table and rested her head on her hands.

"Tough day?"

Sakura raised her eyes and saw miss Tanaka standing on the entrance with a smirk on her face. Sakura groaned and slammed her head on the table.

"Leave Tanaka the store is closed and I have zero energy right now"

"Come on now, I just want to talk"

"About what?

"Well Rumi went on her first big mission, after quite some time"

"Yeah, I know that Baron guy right?"

Miss Tanaka was surprised because nobody knew about this except higher up officers and Rumi and it's really unlikely that she would tell that kind of information to anyone.

"How did you know?"

"Jacob told, apparently she was in a tough spot and he helped her a little"

"And she just accepted his help just like that?"

"Apparently"

Miss Tanaka was dumbfounded, Rumi would never accept help from anyone and here she was sharing classified information and accepting the help of someone else, and his was a common civilian nonetheless. 'Well I suppose that love can change someone, even a little'
She had a sad look on her face and the anxiety she felt was clearly visible on her face, she looked like a mother that just saw her child going to war and Sakura clearly saw the fear in her eyes.

"Are you ok? You seem a bit out of it"

She snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Sakura trying to hide her fear.

"Yeah I just fine, I just had a tough day at work"

Anyone else would believe her, but Sakura knew her far to long and she wasn't someone you could easily lie to

"Bullshit I know you far to long Tanaka and you know damn well that you can't lie to me"

"Heh I suppose I can't"

"Soooo what's up"

"It's Rumi, just today we found out were the Baron is hiding, and she is already raiding it, even after the near death experience she had she simply refuses to be a little more careful and I am quite worried about her"

"She must really important for you in order to be so anxious about her"

"She is like the daughter I never had, yeah she is a pain in the ass but I really care about her, and the fact that she was dumb enough to go by herself doesn't help at all. Yeah she is strong and all but one misstep or one lucky shot and she is done for, she doesn't even know what she is up against!"

The rabbit woman smiled and looked at her friend with a devilish smile, these two went way back, since they were little kids and that's why they trusted eachother with their life, so Sakura was sure that she could trust her with that one secret.

"I admit that this was really dumb of her to just charge like this into enemy territory, but I don't think she is alone"

Miss Tanaka looked at her with a questionable.

"What do you mean, no other hero was dispatched on this mission"

"I'm just saying my dear friend you never know what can happen, especially these days, I heard that vigilante activity has increased quite a bit"
