Chapter 10: I saw him. Who? Him.

After me and Zero talked and everything settled down I got up and I started to pack our stuff. (With Zero helping of course) and we head home.

Days go by and me and her have gotten closer then ever. Ignoring some moments we had. It was now her 19th birthday and I feel that in the years of knowing her, she is the cutest and sweetest thing I have ever met. She makes me think that all angels aren't annoying.

"Hey shorty, so what do you want to do for your birthday?" I ask her as she downs the same waffles I made for her 17th birthday.

"I downt kno." She shrugs with her mouth full, causing me to chuckle lightly.

She swallows her bite and she smiles "how about the picnic that you made before?" "I haven't set anything up though?" I point out she just smiles and she looks at me "We can make it together." I smile at her and I nod "Okay."

We then grab all we need and we leave the house.

We get to the place I had first set the picnic up. I smile and I just stand there.

I stare at her beauty..
Finally look at her more then a friend and letting my mind wonder. But I shake out of the thought.
She runs to the place and she sets the stuff down. I tilt my head at her and she runs back to me and grabs my arm and drags me, "Come on! It's not gonna build itself!" She points out and I start to walk with her.

"Okay let's do this."

We finally set everything up and step back to look at our work. Zero puts her hands an her hips and looks at me with a huge smile. "What?" I ask turning to face her. She looks away quickly and hides her face.

What is she thinking?

Zeros POV
After I stood back and I saw how good we set the tent up I smile and look over at Max..
She's tall, I wonder what would be like to kiss her? I'm so sma- "What?" I hear her ask. I quickly look away in embarrassment, I did not just think that 😖

"It's nothing!" She bends down and takes her finger to my chin and made me look at her. "It doesn't look like nothing~" she's so close! She leans closer and then I hear it again, "Are you okay?" I snap out of my hallucination and I look at her. Shes standing tall and shes look at me with concern. "Yeah I'm okay." "Are you sure?" "Yeah I'm sure, don't worry." That was weird!

Deaths POV
"Okay if you say so." I smile and I walk over to the tent and sat down. "Come on Z come sit." I look at her and she sits there with wide eyes. "Z?" I get up and I walk over to her, "Are you okay?" I put my hand out in caution.

ZEROS POV
I get a vision. I see a shop a man in a hood, black hood. And I see a wanted poster of Max "This is your next target." I hear a low gruff voice speak, "it will get done Blaze."  I hear a younger yet deep and buttery voice say. who is blaze? The man walks out of the room and heads to the bathroom of the building. Once he is in there he washes his face and he looks in the mirror. My eyes widen. It looks like the same guy from deaths photo, her childhood friend..

I feel a firm grip on my arms and I snap out of it but fall at the same time, "Zero!?" I land in her arms and I open my eyes to see hers glistening in the sun. The beautiful red and black eyes before me that I see in a different light, the scar even though it's deep and it looks like it still hasn't healed it is beautiful.. she's so masculine and pretty. And so tall 😭

She looks into my eyes and she slowly get closer as I slowly get closer to her, my lips part slightly as do her's. We get so close to the point I feel her breath upon my face.
But before we get closer she pulls away...

"Sorry.."

"It's okay. I didn't mind it."

"So are you going to tell me what you saw?" I nod my head "Yeah." She stands me up straight and I brush myself off. "I saw a man in a black cape like thing-" "Cloak?" "Yeah. But the guys vision I saw..."

I don't know how she will respond to this..

"I saw a wanted poster if you. It was given to the man."

"Okay that's not anything new. Who's the hunter?"

Take a deep breath.
"Your friend. From the photo before"

"Zach?" Her eyes widen.

DEATHS POV
Zach...
Why..
After everything.. we've been through... You turned your back on me...

It wouldn't be the first time...

Unknown to me I start to tear up and my legs get weak and I slide down to the ground, Zerø by side as I do so. "Does he know where we are? Where we live?" She nods in response.

In an instant I stand up and I use my magic to pack everything up and make it float with me as I walk, "let's go." "Where?" "Anywhere but here." She nods and she walks with me. We go to her house and we go the the bedroom we pack our clothes. I carry both bags and I walk outside. "Zerø come here." She walks to my side. " Go under my arms and hold tightly. Don't let go till I say." She wraps her arms under mine and she holds in tightly.

I let my wings out and I flap them a bit, her grip tightens up and I start to fly.

We land in a forest that is near my own old home. From when I was 12 it's abandoned so I know no one is around. And as long as the outside never changes we will be safe...

"So what will we do?"

"Well-" I sigh
