The question rang in my head as I looked outside the window; watching the street go past me…
I don’t want my life to be perfect. I remember myself answering. I want my sister to be okay. I want her to live.
The cab stops and I ran out. I wasn’t going to waste any time—I might not have any. See about three years ago, my sister…my beautiful loving sister was diagnosed and unfortunately has cancer. She’s thirteen.
She’s only thirteen! She hasn’t seen the world yet. She hasn’t experienced life the way a thirteen year old should—
I can’t lose her. I’ve lost so much already and she’s the only part of me I can and always will protect and cherish. I promised so. I told myself that I will never let her go. I just need time. Please give me time…
