Engulfing Shadows

BOOM! Something fell in the backyard. A small girl woke up from her sleep from that sound. It was midnight. She looked out of the window and saw glowing pieces of meteorite. She sat there until she fell asleep.

Next day! She woke up to her dad's voice coming from her backyard. She was sleeping leaning on the window.

Dad: 'oh god! The lawn mower. The meteorite fell over it'

She quickly went into the backyard curious about the meteorite. The meteorite was twice as big as a basketball. She picked up pieces of meteorite with amusement. She suddenly found a flat circular perfectly round piece of meteorite as if it was hand carved. She took it inside with her and kept it on her study table.

Years passed, the meteorite became part of a garden covered with soil plants growing on it.

Few years passed and she was on her study table. The meteorite piece was on her book as a paperweight. Suddenly the meteorite piece started to change its shape and started to move towards the girl. As soon as it touched her finger it rapidly started to ooze out bloody liquid and started to cover her body and finally petrifying her.

She shouted: 'MOM!! DAD!! SAVE ME PLEASE!! SAVE ME!'

'Hey wake up, hey Suzan wake up, it's lunch time!! Wake up'

Suzan woke up. It was a dream.

She was in school and fell asleep during class. A boy was standing in front of him smiling at her while everyone else was laughing at her.

Suzan: 'What happened Steve?'

Steve: 'you were sleep talking'

Suzan: 'what was I saying'

Steve: 'Mom dad!! save me'

Suzan in embarrassed tone: 'oh!'

Suzan laid her head down with a bit of embarrassment.

Steve: 'hey don't sleep again, it's lunch time, let's go to cafeteria'

Suzan: 'ok let's go, by the way where is Marty'

Steve: 'he is already there, that hungry fellow'

Suzan: 'ok then let's go, I am hungry too'

On the way to the cafeteria.

Steve: 'what were you dreaming about?'

Suzan: 'just strange and stupid thing! nothing made any sense'

Steve: 'oh those dreams! Do you ever get lucid dreams, you know those dreams where you can control your actions?'

Suzan: 'yeh sometimes'

They reached the cafeteria.

Marty shouting: 'HEY GUYS! HERE!'

Suzan waved her hand and went towards the counter to get their portion of their meal. After taking the dishes they went towards Marty.

Marty: 'what took you guys so long'

Suzan: 'I fell asleep'

Steve: 'and she was sleep talking' Steve laughed.

Suzan: 'stop'

Marty laughing: 'what were you saying?'

Steve: 'mom dad!! save me'

Suzan: 'stop! It's embarrassing'

Marty: 'save from what?'

Suzan: 'don't ask just a stupid dream'

The bell rang, recess was over.

The rest of the day was as usual.

On the way home.
