Chapter 1

Hi my name is Kit Marin but everyone calls me Kitty. I am 19 and a sophomore in college. My father is a werewolf my mother is human,my father used to be beta of the Blue Moon Pack. I know what you are wondering are you a werewolf? No I was lucky enough not to get that gene.My friends are werewolves though they are from the Crescent Blood Pack a pack that is friends with my dad's pack they share territory.

I looked at myself in the mirror one last time fixing my skirt that hovered above my knees my blue crop top only exposed a little bit of my stomach. My skirt was also blue. I put on my black heels. Tick Tick Tick. Walking over the window I opened it and a pebble flew past my head. "Oops sorry Kitty. Come let's go! The party is going to be over by the time you are you done." My friend Mimi whisper shouted.

"Har Har." I gave her a sarcastic smirk. Climbing out my window which was only three feet from the ground. Once my feet were safely on the ground I ran over to the car getting in. Nikki smiled at me through the rear view mirror.

"How ya doing Kitty?" she asked

"Good." I smiled. Nikki giggled smacking her gum then we sped off down the street.

I laughed as we arrived at the party. Everyone was dancing some actually dancing and some just goofing off. There were chairs in the corner in the room and tables with drinks in the other. "I'll go get us some drinks!" Nikki shouted over the music. I nodded signaling that I heard her. Mimi pulled me out onto the dance floor we laughed and danced having a good time. Nikki came onto the dance floor handing us our drinks then dancing like a crazy person. I took a sip of my drink then coughed it burned the back of my throat.

"Yuck Mimi you can have mine." I choked. Mimi shrugged chugging mine down. I stared at her like she was crazy then shook my head before returning to dancing. Suddenly Mimi froze.

"Crap!" she hissed grabbing my hand leading me through the crowd of people grabbing Nikki too.

"What what's going on?" I asked searching around to see what she was running from.

"The Alpha and Beta have arrived at the party. The Beta is also my big brother." She explained the door was in view we made it out. Mimi sighed. "We're safe."

"Nope you're busted." Two guys came out from behind the door and closed it so the hallway was now quiet.

"Erik it's not what you think we weren't drinking." Mimi lied

"Yeah we weren't drinking." Nikki slurred then giggled. "Drinking rhymes with thinking." her giggles burst into full out laughter. Then her face turned green she ran to the trash can puking

Erik raised an eyebrow."Really then why is Nikki drunk and what were you doing at a Senior party anyway last time I checked you were sophomores." Erik sighed then pinched the bridge of his nose. The Alpha looked at me anger in his eyes anger that immediately switched to awe. Feeling uncomfortable I looked over at Nikki who still had her head in the trashcan. I walked into the bathroom got some paper towels wetting them then walked out of the bathroom over to Nikki placing the paper towels on the back of her neck.Looking back over to the others. Erik had pulled the Alpha over to the side. They both looked at me then returned to talking. The way he looked at me where had I seen that look before. OH.MY.GOD. That was the same way Dad looked at Mom his mate. The Alpha had found his mate and his mate is me. Nikki straightened up a little thinking she was done but then her hand went back into the trashcan. I rubbed her back. Mimi came over to us. "Erik and David are going to give us a lift home. I'll be right back I am going to go get a bag for Nikki." Mimi ran inside so it was just me Nikki, Erik and David. Nikki stopped throwing up and leaned against the wall sliding down to the ground.

"Kitty." she moaned.

"Yeah?" I asked thinking she sobered up a little.

"Why are you spinning." she giggled.

I sighed. "Just rest Nikki." She nodded slumping down so she was laying on the floor. David walked over to me.

"Do you know what she drank?" He asked crossing his arms over his chest looking down at Mimi.

"No I don't we lost her in the crowd. I just know she must have drank a lot to end up like this."

"Why weren't you drinking?" he asked

" How can you tell?....Oh right wolf senses. I never drink enough to get drunk I got drunk once and once is all needed." I half laughed. David gave me a small smile. Mimi came back with a doggy bag helped Mimi off the ground. Then Nikki threw up all over my outfit. I ran to the bathroom taking off my skirt shirt and shoes leaving me in my black bra and pink hipster underwear. Mimi came in with a bag putting my clothes in it. Then handed me a really big button up shirt.

"It's David's he told me to give it to you to cover you up until you get home... Kitty I am so sorry about this."

"Oh no this isn't your fault besides Nikki being drunk and my clothes I had fun." I said hugging her. I put on the shirt buttoning up. I had to roll up the sleeves the shirt came past my knees halfway to my ankles. Mimi handed me her jacket too and I put that on. We walked out of the bathroom. Erik had picked up Nikki. We made our way to the car. Nikki in the backseat with Mimi and Erik while David drove and I sat in the passenger seat. It was quiet except for the sounds of Nikki switching between puking and groaning.

We dropped Nikki off first at the Crescent Blood Pack house then we pulled up to my house. My Dad and Mom waiting on the porch both of them looking pissed. I winced then turned to David. "Thanks for the shirt." I thanked. He nodded. I got out of the car walking up onto the porch past my parents inside. Mom followed after me.

"Kit Marie Marin what were you thinking. Do you know how worried we were about you when we came to say goodnight but you were gone. We thought you had been hurt or Rogues had taken you!" she screeched then sighed calming down she ran her fingers through her hair. "Go take a shower then head to bed." she walked to her room Dad following behind her. I walked up to my bathroom taking a shower then putting on my pj's and going to bed. But then something hit me that I had forgotten about.
