Law's POV

I stared at my phone wondering if (Y/n)-ya had work today. I had three days of mandatory time off since I lost a patient Tuesday.

I need to get better. You may have your soulmate now, but that's no excuse. I could have saved him if I just-

I shook my head of those thoughts and decided to send her a text since she might be at work.

Me- Hey, I was wondering if you were free sometime today

And now we wait.

I wonder what she does in Doflamingo-ya's business. Maybe she's a model, she definitely has the body for it. And that smile of hers would be a sight for sore eyes on a magazine cover with all the people that usually sit there looking exactly the same.

My phone buzzed in my hand pulling me out of my thoughts.

My Better Half- I'm working today, but I'll be off at 5?
Me- Would you like to go on a proper date with me?
Me- I could get us a reservation at Baratie?
My Better Half- I'd love that <3

I smiled to myself as I pulled up the number for the best restaurant in Grand Line City. The phone rang for a few moments when a smooth but gravely voice picked up.

"This is the damn Restaurant, how can I help you?"

His tone and phrasing made me pause. "This is the number for the Baratie, right?"

"Yup, what can I do for you?" He sounded irritated, so I got right to the point.

"I'd like to make a reservation for two at 6pm if there's an availability," I said, hoping there was still a table.

"We do still have a table, but it's VIP, so it costs extra. Is that okay?"

"Yes, that's fine." I let out the breath I was holding.

"Name for the reservation?"

"Trafalgar, and who should I thank for getting me this table?"

"Ah, thank you for your business, Doctor. And my name is Sanji, no need for thanks. Just doing my job."

"Well thank you anyway. You could have just told me there were no tables, after all."

I bid him a quick goodbye and went to get an outfit ready.

3:30, I have plenty of time.

We agreed that we would meet at the restaurant, but when I got there, she was breathtaking. Her (h/l), (h/c) hair gracefully framing her face, my soulmate mark on full display with the low-cut, (f/c) shirt, black jeans complimenting her shape.

Her deep (e/c) eyes met mine and it felt like the world stopped. The reality of her, that beautiful woman right there, being my soulmate crashed into me all at once. My mother was right.

"Law! You alright?" Her (soft/rough) voice cut through my haze as I looked at her. "You spaced out for a second there," she giggled. It was no angel's laugh, but it warmed my heart nonetheless.
