Falling for the Older Boys

Chapter 2

Jake and I arrive back at my bungalow house, it has a large front lawn and a farm surrounding it. Out back we have a large in-ground swimming pool along with a hot tub.
I go to get out but Jake holds me back.

"Why don't you like me?" He asks.

I roll my eyes "Really?"

"Come on, I will be at the party tonight. I heard your going to be there. I can drive you."

"I have a ride thanks."

I get out and grab my backpack.

"I will see you tonight then." He says and takes off out the driveway.

I roll my eyes and walk into my house. I enter into the foyer, I walk through the kitchen and living, down the hallway to my room. No one is home. I search through my drawers and closet until I settle on a loose fitting black and purple shirt with black skinny jeans.

My ride arrives at 5:00pm. I left a note for my mom saying I had left. I am going out with my friends, Zac, Katherine, Ryan and Emma for supper. We went out to Mc Donalds and while we were eating I saw Jake and his friends ordering. I avoided eye contact with him but as he passed he poked me and winked. I roll my eyes.

"Who was that?" Emma asks nudging me.

I glance over at her beside me. She has light green eyes ginger hair. Katherine sits across from her with long black curly hair and brown eyes. Ryan sits beside her with light brown hair and green eyes. Zac sits beside him with black hair and deep blue eyes. Every girl swoons over his looks.

"One of my sister's friends." I say with a shrug.

"Oh yeah thats why he winked at you." Katherine says giggling.

I shake my head and ignore them.
Once we have finished eating we throw out our stuff.

"Hey, Roxy come here." I hear Jake say as I start following my friends out of the restaurant, they all stop as they hear it too.

I walk over to Jake with my friends following closely behind. I can see Katherine check out one of his friends with blonde hair.

"What." I snap.

"Why don't you guys ride with us." Jake says. "In our trucks."

"Yes." Ryan says before I can even say anything.

I turn around and glare at him.

"Sweet." Jake says and gets up right beside me. He looks down on me with a smirk. Jake's friends get up and I walk with my friends out to their trucks. Katherine texted her mom that we didn't need a ride anymore. Ryan loves trucks, he and Zac went in the best truck. I look over to Katherine who is hitting on Jake's friend with blonde hair. There is three trucks.

"What truck are we going in?" Emma asks.

"Not that one." I say pointing to Jake's.

"Oh, thats the one you want to go in." Jake says coming up from behind me. "You can go in Max's truck." Jake says to Emma.

At that moment Jake picks me up and slings me over his shoulder.

"Jake!" I scream. He opens his passenger side door and puts me in gently. He smirks at me and shuts the door.

He gets in the driver side and starts his truck. I look out the window and see Emma get in the truck beside us.

"Why do you have to be such an asshole?" I say looking to Jake.

He laughs and looks to me. "You like it."

I roll my eyes and look away.

Jake drives out and his friends follow. We drive out to the country and rip around the backroads. We had a race with Max. It is the end of the race when we were turning around when I started to hate Jake again.

"So your friend Katherine is getting close with Max, why can't you be like that?" Jake asks with a smirk.

"You know I was actually having fun with you, you just ruined that."

"Oh come on." He says pulling up next to his buddy's trucks.

I get out as he does. Its dark out, and their headlights are lighting up the dirt road around us.

"Should we go to the party now?" The one with blonde hair asks, that one is Max.

"Yeah." Jake says beside me. I step away from him.

"Alright, boys lets rip." Jake's other friend says with shaggy dark brown hair.
