The Prince and The warrior Princess

. Chapter 2

Venus, princess of the elf kingdom.

While i'ts true that they no longer exist, the people of the elf kingdom still had fighting spirit with their princess being one of the best warriors ever known. Her beauty could compare to none but the princess had no interest in things such as appearance. Venus was a courageous princess, ready to do anything to fight for her kingdom. Being a descendant of the king and queen of elves, she was blessed with the elves fighting skill

Venus had no interest in things such as love so, it didnt bother her when her father told her that she got a proposal from the kingdom of Aslaidaa.

It was only political, after all.

Prepared to meet her future groom, Venus made her way to the kingdom. She had heard about the prince. He was quite notorious for being weak and a coward.

Venus honestly did not care about the rumors. Society had said that girls should be doing the household chores while boys should be warriors.

Bullshit

She refused to believe such nonsense. Similarly, she refused to acknowledge a man who does not fight as weak. Being a coward and weak had nothing to do with physical strength.

She also heard that the prince was supposedly the most gorgeous man to have ever existed. She, once again, did not believe such rumors until she met the man in question.

On her way, she had to stop for the night at a small village where she paid for her accommodation. That morning, she did not expect to meet the prince who was buying a piece of cake a local bakery. She wouldnt have known he was the prince if she hadnt heard the people around whispering

Entering the bakery, her eyes caught a pretty man with rosy cheeks adorned in jewelry. He had such a sweet smile while looking at the cakes in display, his attention never leaving them. Feeling her breath caught in her throat, the princess sat at a table, secretly looking at her future husband

"I'm sorry your highness, you're a bit too early. We have not yet finished cooking your favorite bread. I sincerely apologize for our mistake", The baker had said and the princess wanted to hug the cute skinny man who made such a disappointed face.

But he was too cute for words to describe!

His cheeks flushed and she noticed his eyes becoming slightly teary

"Oh! can I wait??" He asked and the baker immediately nodded

"Of course, your highness, would you like to have another cake in the meantime? It's from the house" the baker said but the prince shook his head

"No, it's okay! I'll wait!" he replied, sitting at a table far from the princess with guards standing protectively in front of him

The prince removed a book and started reading, patiently waiting for his bread. The princess couldn't take her eyes off the pretty prince.

She wanted to spoil the cutie so bad!

Maybe she was going to be a loving wife after all!!

She thought, dreamily watching the man in his own world

After a while, the baker had given the prince his favorite bread with chocolate and the princess felt kind of sad when he went away before remembering that he was going to be hers soon!

If he accepts the proposal the princess thought and for once, she felt quite nervous at the reaction of the prince.

Hm I will just have to convince him to marry me

She thought. With that in her mind, she reached the royal palace where she was warmly welcomed by the queen and king.

"My son is reading in the garden; you may go find him" The queen said politely and the princess made her way. Not wanting to Interrupt him, the princess decided to climb up the tree to secretly watch the prince who was smiling to himself until she noticed a man behind him.

While he may have been just a knight, Elves could sense the hostility of people and it seemed like this man right here was going to break her hostile detector meter, a figure of speech of course

How dare they attack my prince when he's resting!?

She thought

Pissed at that, she immediately fired her arrow, aiming at his head to kill him in an instant. What she didnt expect was for the prince to find her hiding spot within seconds.

Oh, dear prince, youre finally looking at me!

She thought in excitement as he pointed at her. No one in the entire world had managed to find her hiding spots in the past and just like she believed, the price was indeed not a coward.

To see his reaction, she couldnt help but peck his hand and she indeed got the perfect expression on the prince's face

Adorable.

Like expected, the prince did not take the marriage proposal very well but his reaction was everything! The princess just wanted to tease the prince all day.

After the prince went to his room, the queen came back to show the princess to her room

"Princess Venus, thank you for having protected my son earlier. While he may be my second child, hes still my son after all. I am quite worried for him. Hes an easy target because he does not care about what happen to him. This child I tell you, his indifference to his life being threatened is quite scary for me" The queen said with a tired sigh.

"Don't worry, my queen, I will make sure to protect him. However, I hope that my lifestyle will not change after my marriage. Fighting is a skill that runs through my vein and it will be a disrespect to my ancestors if I give up on it" Venus said politely

"Do not worry, my child! The future queen is also a good warrior and never have we stopped her from doing what she liked. It would in fact benefit our kingdom to have you by our side. However, right now, I wonder how you're going to convince my stubborn little brat to accept the marriage. He's a pain honestly" The queen said tiredly and Venus smiled

Hmm, a cute one

"Leave it to me, my queen. Your son has me interested in him and theres no way I will give up on becoming his wife" Venus said confidently and the queen smirked

"Hmm, we'll see. You're quite pretty, can I see your whole face?" The queen asked and when she removed the mask from her mouth, she could see the queens shocked expression. However, she did not comment

"Another pretty woman in the family I see. I wish you good luck" The queen said before going out the room and the princess sat on her bed, looking around the room. Deciding to take a nap, she laid on the bed and closed her eyes.

When she woke up, however, she thought that she went to heaven when she saw the prince standing in front of her with a tray of food. The prince had no expression on his face but his red ears gave away his embarrassment

"Am I dead? Am I in heaven?" She blurted out and the prince frowned

"You- Ugh, never mind. Just have dinner"
