The door opened and Cherrie looked out of the kitchen to see who it was. It was just the kid from yesterday. "Morning!" She said he waved at her and hurried to his room. She thought maybe he was shy and continued to cook, when he came back out she spoke to him again. "Forgive me for intruding, but where were you all day yesterday? I got a little worried since you said you would come back." He had forgotten about that, she seemed like she actually cared and for whatever reason he felt bad about making her worry about him. "Yeah, sorry I just stayed with my mom for the night." He said, she looked a little shocked like she shouldn't have asked, "no need to apologize, I'm sorry you know, I just kinda have this big sister radar on me all the time so I couldn't help but worry." She laughed, he scratched his head and said it was fine, he understood what she meant. "I'm going out again and might come back, see you." He closed the door behind him and headed for the elevator. The doors opened with a ding and from the elevator emerged a strange looking man, he was tall but scrawny and looked like he had lost too much sleep. He stepped out and looked down on Mike, he smiled weirdly at him and it didn't help that he kept staring at him all the way even while the doors were closing. With more weird occurrences the more he was regretting being back here but he had to and so he would just have to put aside all the weirdness that seemed to come his way. "I think I saw the kid you were talking about. Yeah spitting image of his brother minus the beard that is." Someone said over the phone, the tone of voice was calm and rather energetic, speaking fast and trying not to leave out any details. "What do you want me to do from here? He's the perfect candidate, that is if that hitman doesn't kill him first." Whoever this was had a keen interest in Mike that they knew enough about him and what would happen to him as well. 'Perfect candidate,' what exactly did they mean by that?

"Hey, I'm back." He yelled into the house as if asking permission to do so, "I'll be out in a minute!" She replied back, he closed the door behind him and waited in the kitchen as she finished. While observing the many detailed decorations his mother liked to collect, now? Not so much. Something caught his eye, they were pictures of them from a while back, when they were kids. There was a big picture in the center of the table, the frame was silver with a few hints of gold in it. The picture was of his Mother, Will, his Father and himself. By the look of the background he could tell they were at the beach that day, can't remember what they did exactly but he knows it ended with a messy car. Next to the big picture were smaller ones, one of Will at his big game and another one where he was at his skating tournament, then there was a picture of his mother and his father, they looked really happy. And then there he was a baby and almost all grown up. He unconsciously picked up the picture of both his parents and stared at it like he was lost in thought, a sad thought.
"That one's my favorite too." His mother said, and he quickly turned around clumsily setting the picture down. "Sorry, I was just looking at it." He fixed the picture back into its original position but kept looking at it glued to everything it captured. "You miss him don't you? I do too." She said he looked up at her and he could tell how sad she was. He shouldn't have picked up the photo, now he was bringing back unwanted memories. "I didn't think you would still have them, but anyways how are you feeling?" He asked, maybe this would change the subject for a while.

Connie: I'm doing alright, the doctor came by and told me my leg was doing much better.
Mike: Doctor?
Connie: Yes, a doctor comes by my house from time to time since I can't always go to the hospital on my own.
Mike: I see, well I'm glad.

*knock on the door*

Connie: I'll get it.
Mike: It's okay, I'll do it. I'm closest to the door anyways.
Connie: Okay.

*Mike opens the door*
??: Hello
Mike: Who are you?
??: My name is Emmanuel.
Connie: That's right! I forgot to tell you Mike we have a guest today. Hello Emmanuel, come in, come in.
Emmanuel: Thank you.
Mike: (excuse me what? What the hell is going on?)
*closes door*
Emmanuel: This is Mike, right? Nice to meet you, you really look like your mother.
Connie: He gets that a lot.
Mike: (Can somebody explain? Hello???)
Mike: How do you two know each other?
Connie: We met a while back at a convention.
Emmanuel: If I recall the convention was about computer science.
Connie: Yes, it was actually.
Mike: (right I forgot she's into that stuff)
Mike: Okay?
Emmanuel: Are you ready?
Connie: Yes, I just need to grab my purse, it'll be a second.
Mike: What?
Connie: Ah right, I'm going out for a bit but will be back for dinner.
Mike: I see. (She's going out with this guy? Come on mom-no don't it's  whatever.) Okay, have fun...I guess.
Connie: I'm ready, shall we go?
Emmanuel: Yes.
Mike: (I wanna be buried alive)
