So, after our Karaoke-On fun-time together, the five of us visited Mr. and Mrs. Lee's house.

Dinner was already ready.

Me, Mei, Abby, Priya and Tyler are drooling at the table. Mei was not kidding about her epic amount of food.

We ate almost everything. It was too good not to eat seconds.

Mr. Lee have to ask. He was glancing at me, Abby, Priya and Tyler. "Have you guys ever eat this kind of dinner before?" Mr. Lee wondered.

Tyler was confident. "My mom and dad got these cuisine on weekends." He answers.

Priya shrugged. "It's a first for me. It's so tempting." She replies.

Abby was bothered. "My mom only get this when she's in her bad days as a hairdresser. She offers me a piece of dumpling just to try it." Abby added. "I loved it!" She exclaims.

I sighed. I don't know if I was glad or sad. "I don't think I have this before. All I've been eating is oatmeal and a salad." I replied.

Mr. Lee tilts his head. He was bewildered. "Oatmeal and a salad?" Mr. Lee asked.

I couldn't reply his curiosity. Yet, some of my friends have.

Priya was definite. "Mir's been eating them by her parents since a couple years ago." She answered.

I was in denial. "No." I objected.

Abby was devious. "They have three patches of their vegetable gardens in their backyard!" She shouted.

I shook my head. I frowned. "They do not." I argued.

Tyler was annoyed. "The oatmeal came from her grandma." He aforementioned.

I glared at him. I groaned. "Not you too." I bickered.

Mei shrugs at Mr. Lee. "Miriam's parents are on a tight budget, dad. They couldn't afford the whole month of groceries." She said.

O-M-G! I was seriously aggravated at them. "No, no. This is not what it seems like." I grumbled.

I perturbed. Unbelievable with my friends right now. Then, someone tapped me on my left shoulder. I glanced. It was Mrs. Lee. She was reassuring me. "Um, perhaps you can take some of these with you." Mrs. Lee suggested. She was gesturing at the table.

I was astonished. I gasped. Then, I was joyful. Is Mrs. Lee really mean it?! Is she serious?! I have to know. "I can take leftovers home?!" I exclaimed.

Mrs. Lee nodded her head twice. "At least, it was my way to make it up to you." She replies.

I was darn happy. "Oh my gosh!!" I added. I got off of the chair. It flew backwards. Mei's dad caught it in time. He readjusted the chair. I dashed to Mrs. Lee to hug her. She was confused. Everyone was surprised. "Thank you, Mrs. Lee!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" I cried out loud.

I let her go for a moment. I made an awkward smile at Mei's mom.

Abby, Priya and Mei giggles.

Tyler rolls his eyes and shook his head.

Mrs. Lee was softer like a soft-serve ice cream. "I'm glad to help, Miriam." She aforesaid.

It was the happiest night of my life. Not only I got Mr. Lee's homemade meals, I get to see Mei more often.
