She puts her hands on his shoulders. “So umm. Coach Lani asked me to play one more match, but I told her I would talk to you about it.” Simone said. He turns his head and looks at her. “One last game while you’re pregnant or one last game for good?” Tymel asked. “While I'm pregnant.” Few moments of silence. “Once I drop a baby girl or baby boy, I'm going back to tennis.” She said. “You keep making plans without including the both of us.” He said.

Simone takes a deep breath. “Tymel, I include you in every plan I make, I can be a mother and still play tennis.” She tries to get his attention, but he seems to be ignoring her. “I guess I'll call her back with my answer.” Simone said. “You’re a grown woman, do whatever you want, I don't care.” Tymel said, walking away from her.

That Saturday evening, 3 minutes into the game Simone noticed Tymel didn’t show up. “Don’t worry, you got this girl.” She said to herself. After winning the game Coach Lani pulls Simone to the side. “Yas!! So proud of you, all though I'll miss you for the next few months.” Coach Lani said. Simone smiled. “It’ll go by fast, actually kinda shocked that he didn’t show up.” She said. Coach Lani grabs her hand. “You guys will work it out and overcome whatever you guys are going through.” Lani said.

Simone hugged Marcus. “Hi daddy!” She said, “Hey baby girl, a lil shocked to get your text.” Marcus said. “I have 2 things to tell you, please don’t be upset.” Simone said. “Depending on what you say.” Marcus responded. “Tymel and I got married at the courthouse, and I'm pregnant.” Simone said really fast. “Married? Pregnant? Simone, what the hell?”  Marcus kept asking questions. “I’m 3 months pregnant and newly married.” She said.

“Simone you’re still in your early 20’s, I understand the marriage part, but pregnancy. What about your career?” Marcus asked. “After the baby comes, I'll still be playing, nothing will change dad.” Simone said, even trying to convince herself. “What does Tymel have to say about this?” Marcus asked. “I don’t care about what he has to say right now. All he’s doing is adding stress.” She said.

Marcus shakes his head. “You guys are so confusing.” Marcus said. “Diamond has been posting stories at events and Tymel somehow goes to those events all the time.” Simone explained to her father. “He’s not cheating on you Simone, stop worrying.” Marcus said. Simone’s stomach begins to hurt. “Ow” She shouted in pain. “Call Tymel.” Simone yelled.
