Dana Cooper. 16 years old
It was a sunny day, Dana was making her way to auditions. Her mom had wished her good luck before she left, Dana was nervous even if she had been in a few movies before, she wasn't exactly confideny and felt she was going to mess everything up. You see Dana had always had a thing for acting and practiced it when she was just a little kid, doing little shows for her parents. Dana checked her phone for the time, Dana knew there would be a bunch of girls auditioning for the wrong reasons, Javon. Dana started walking faster, the auditions weren't far away but she wanted to get there earlier so she wouldn't be swarmed by Javon's fans that were gonna audition. Once Dana got there, kind of out of breath she was surprisingly one of the first people to get there. Dana noticed there were only about 15 people, which was good.
The auditions started at 2PM it was 1:45PM and the people started to swarm in. Dana huffed as she looked at all the people, all girls obviously. Dana had been a fan of the show when it first came out but that didn't mean she was just gonna audition because of Javon, he wasn't her main reason and never would've been, she just wanted to be recognized more for her acting. Dana tapped her foot impatiently as they started to take people in earlier then she expected. It was finally Dana's turn "It's you're turn, go on ahead" The woman said leading her into the building. Dana felt her heart beat faster, fuck was she nervous. Dana stood in front of the people as the woman handed her the script. Dana then saw as the woman left. "Hello, My name is Dana Cooper and I'm auditioning for the role of Hilary Dawson, Ashtray's love interest in season two."
After she finished the audition and made her way out the building, smile wide on her face, now she just had to wait for a couple days.
Time skip.
Dana was in bed scrolling through her phone, she had just woken up and was not really expecting an answer from them since it was supposed to be first thing in the morning. That's when Dana got an email, she immediately tapped on it and started reading through it. "MOMMMM!!" Dana jumped up from her bed, jumping up and down. Dana was overjoyed and excited to be finally auditioning in a big show. As she started rambling on to her mom how excited she was, she realised that the scenes started in a week so she should probably prepare herself for that. They mentioned in the email that she'd have to go before hand though, to practice her lines and scenes with Javon and some other cast members like Jacob Elordi and Angus Cloud since she had scenes with them. "I gotta go out tomorrow to practice my scenes and shit." Dana said to her mom. "Yeah sure thing sweetie, I'll drive you."
Dana's mom was gonna take out to lunch to celebrate, Dana of course accepted. Dana had a lovely relationship with her mom, they were like two peas in a pod some would say. Dana didn't have much of a relationship with her dad though, but they loved each other.
"I'll let you get ready sweetheart" Her mom said, leaving her room. Dana looked at her closet, picking out a white pleated skirt and a oversized t-shirt she would tuck into the skirt. Dana got dressed up and put her black converse on as she looked at herself in the mirror "You go girl" Dana said pointing at herself in the mirror. Dana then made her way out her room, making her way to the kitchen humming to herself. Dana saw her mom was already ready, so they just left then and there. Dana's father was at work anyway.
On the drive there, her and Dana's mom were just singing along to 70's music. They had the music style in common which was nice "You can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a woman's man!" Dana shouted as she turned the music up. "No time to talk" Her mom followed along with a giggle. Dana loved how her mom actually tried with her, she had never belittled Dana and had never treated her different just because she was stupid sometimes. She always believed in her. Her mom was like a teenager sometimes, which made Dana laugh a little. She was a cool mom.
Arriving at the little cafe place, Dana's mom parked the car and took the keys out as they both got out. Dana made her way into the cafe, they sat at a table outside. Dana ordered just some ora nge juice and her mom a cappuccino. "So tell me about this boy that you'll be smooching for you're acting, is he handsome?" There it was, her mom making her stupid jokes. "Mom." Dana giggled rolling her eyes, he was cute but why the fuck would she care anyway. It was just acting right? The waiter set the drinks down and smiled "Here you go ladies" He was about in his 20's, he was polite at least but he was eyeing Dana's mom which made Dana glare at him "Thanks." Dana said sarcastically, hating how men just eyed her mom down like that. She was fairly young, since she had Dana at 17.
The waiter left, feeling intimidated by Dana's glare. "Oh darling calm down" Her mom waved her hand laughing as she sipped her cappuccino. "Whatever" Dana smiled and also took a sip of her orange juice. "Thanks for being so supportive mom" Dana set the juice down. "It's my pleasure darling."
The next day.
Dana was in the car with her mom, it was mostly silent since Dana was trying to process everything in her mind. This was real, this was happening and she needed to fucking do a good job. "I believe in you sweetie" Her mom said stopping at the set building. "Thank you mom" Dana said getting out the car, nerves rising up in her body as a man greeted her, bringing her inside the set. The man gave her a tour before the director greeted her and brought her to meet everyone. "Everyone this is Dana Cooper, she got the role for Hilary"
Zendaya, Jacob, Sydney, Javon and everyone else was there, she was greeted with hugs by everyone except Javon. They were all so kind, she then shook Javon's hand smiling. He smiled back. "Sup" Javon said. "Nice to meet you" Dana said, everyone eyed the two, looking at eachother smiling. "Same" He replied as they finally let go of eachothers hands. Dana rubbed the back of her head, kind of nervous to meet him in person. He was cute but..she was trying to let her nerves not show in front of everyone. "Alright everyone! Time to start shooting!!"
