a month or so ago, namjoon and jackson had decided to go on a beach vacation for a weekend to clear some stress.
two things happened that weekend.
one- namjoon and jackson had a fight.
two- namjoon and jackson made up.
and one last thing, aforementioned.
three- they both saw sides of each other they had never known before.
--
namjoon had always been unfocused.
maybe that isn't the correct word- more like, distracted, head in the clouds, type of deal. he had one dream he hadn't told anyone. not even himself. this dream went unnoticed for many years until he discovered it, balled up inside his brain like a crumpled piece of paper that you threw away.
on the train, in class, anywhere that he felt like it, a pen and paper would be in his hand. a notepad of sorts, a dream-carrier. that would be an appropriate term to call it.
not poems, not stories, not songs. a perfect blend, flowing in between, like a mixture of chamomile and lavender and being free.
being free.
little did namjoon know he wouldn't be free from a lot of things until he met someone special. that someone special would not be jackson.
--
namjoon and jackson had decided to go to a new mall opening. jackson loved fashion, namjoon loved jackson, was there a reason not to go?
maybe.
as the two got off the bus, namjoon asked jackson,
"are you hungry, babe? want anything to eat?" jackson blushed and interlaced his fingers around his boyfriend's. even after all this time, when namjoon would use sweet names he couldn't believe it. he couldn't believe someone as perfect and caring as namjoon could be his.
namjoon waves a hand in front of him. "hello? anyone home?"
jackson waved it away, then laughed. he kissed namjoon on the nose, pushing away his thoughts. "anything you want. babe." jackson gulped, then smiled again.
namjoon knew that this was all still new to jackson- he didn't want to hold back his wings. namjoon kissed jackson- a real kiss- to make him feel better. safer.
then he whispers, foreheads touching,
"anything for you."
they set off to a cafe to buy jackson something tasty.
jackson tightens the grip around namjoon's hand as they walk- you would think namjoon doesn't like to be restrained, but quite the opposite. namjoon liked being needed. he wanted to have the power to comfort someone and reassure them that he would protect them. maybe that's why he liked jackson so much- and if it was a good thing or bad thing, he didn't know.
who would?
