Chapter one.

AN: this story is about abusive relationships and some parts of the story will probably be difficult to read this is your warning.this chapter is honestly pretty shitty in my opinion. Let me know if I should continue the story

Maya's pov*
"I told you to be home hours ago what the fuck took so long and on top of it this place is a fucking mess" shouted Daniel who's been my boyfriend for 4 years and he was the father of my daughter Tatiana who's three years old.
"W-We had a call before my s-shift ended" I said stuttering because I was fucking terrified.
"DONT FUCKING LIE TO ME MAYA" yelled Daniel as he hit me.
"I-I'm not" I said.
"Go put your hands against the wall and take off your shirt" ordered Daniel instantly making me terrified knowing the type of punishment I was going to get.
"P-Please no I'm a-sorry" I begged as tears fell down my face.
"Just go do what I ask it's honestly that simple now hurry before your punishment gets worse" said Daniel as he left to get his belt. So I took off my shirt leaving me in my bra and put my hands up against the wall mentally preparing myself for the punishment that I'm about to get. I'm about it doesn't take too long because I have to go pick up Tatiana from Leigh's house who works on B shift here soon.
"You know I don't like doing this Maya but you need to learn to listen to me. You know this happens every time you don't listen" said Daniel before hitting my back with his belt.
"This is your fault that I'm doing this Maya nobody else's fault but yours" said Daniel as he kept hitting me.
"All you had to do was come home when I said too I know your schedule but once again you never listen to me" said Daniel before hitting my back pretty hard with the belt causing me to cry out in pain.
"Oh stop your crying now go pick up your child" said Daniel as he left me alone. So I gently put on my shirt and grabbed my keys I would have covered up the redness on my cheek but I didn't want to make him even more upset with me than he already is. I normally try to always cover up my bruises so that people wouldn't suspect anything even if I didn't I'm a firefighter so some bruises I can get away with not covering and not having people ask me a shit ton of questions. I think I should try and tell someone about what's been going on but I'm absolutely fucking terrified of what could happen. Once I made it to Leigh's house I parked the car and got out and walked up to the door to ring the doorbell.
"Lei it mommy" I heard my daughter shout making me smile.
"Hey Bishop what happened to your face" asked Leigh after she opened the door.
"It happened during a call" I lied as I picked up my daughter.
"Hi my beautiful daughter say bye bye to Leigh so we can go home love" I said as I kissed her forehead.
"Bye bye" said Tati as we turned around to leave when I heard Leigh gasp behind me.
"What Leigh" I asked confused.
"Maya you have blood on the back of your shirt it looks fresh do you need to go to the hospital because if so I can still watch Tati for you" asked Leigh.
"No its fine I'm okay it's nothing bye" I said as I hurried up and left.

Andy's pov*
"Vic what are you doing here" I asked confused as I let her into my apartment.
"Guess who I just got off the phone with" said Vic as she sat down on the couch looking extremely stressed making me even more worried.
"Who" I asked wishing that she would hurry up and tell me.
"It was Leigh from B shift" explained Vic.
"Okay what did she want did someone on B shift get hurt or something" I asked.
"Nope she was babysitting Tatiana today for Maya and apparently Maya showed up with half her face red she said she thinks someone slapped her and when she asked Maya about it she said she got it during a call which is strange because nobody said anything about Maya being hurt like that but then I realized she was fine when she left. Oh but wait it gets even better" said Vic.
"I'm listening" I said as I sat down as well because who knows how this would turn out.
"Apparently when Maya turned around to leave with her child she had blood on the back of her shirt Leigh said it looked to fresh not dried up or anything" explained Vic.
"Why don't we run over to hers and check up on her and take her to the hospital if necessary" I suggested not knowing what else to do.
"Andy we know Maya didn't get hurt during a call let's go check on her" said Vic as we both left my apartment and got into her car.
"Who do you think could have hurt her" asked Vic as we drove to Maya's place.
"We all know how shitty her father is maybe she had a run in with him" I said as I parked the car once I made to her place.
"You should knock since well you drove my car" said Vic making me roll my eyes as I knocked on the door.
"I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERENT ALLOWED TO INVITE PEOPLE OVER" we heard Daniel say causing us both to look at each other confused.
"That seems a bit I don't know extreme don't you think maybe this is why she told us to stop coming over to hers" said Vic when the door opened to reveal Maya standing there.
"Oh sweet Maya what happened to your face" I asked when I noticed how red it was.
"Nothing happened but why are you guys here" asked Maya looking extremely anxious.
"Leigh called us saying that she noticed your face and blood on the back of your shirt she said you got it from a call but Vic and I know that's not true because when you left everything was fine. So who did this too you" I asked when all of a sudden Daniel showed up and put his hand on Maya's shoulder causing her to flinch either because of the pain or just from his hand being there who knows.
"What seems to be the problem here" asked Daniel.
"They were just coming to check on me that's all" answered Maya looking even more overwhelmed by the situation.
"She's fine honestly she just fell onto her child's toy like a fucking idiot and then her dad was here" said Daniel before closing the door.
"That's was a little strange" said Vic.
"She's not an idiot like yeah sometimes she's a bit clueless but she's not an idiot and how would she have fallen on a toy unless she slipped because she didn't see it and if her dad did show up why didn't he make him leave" I said when we got back into the car.
"You think he's the one that hurt her" asked Vic as we got back into her car.
"I don't know what if it really was her father who knows I guess I'll ask Maya about it or maybe I can ask Tati" I said as we walked into my apartment.
