[yuqi's pov]

I kept reminiscing about what happened with Soyeon in the bathroom all night. She stayed really serious so maybe I said too much? Maybe an "I love you so much" isn't enough?

It isn't enough. Nothing of what I said yesterday was enough. Not me thanking her, not me saying that I love her. Nothing I've told or done towards Soyeon so far is enough to show my love for her.

It was time for me to start getting ready once I realized Minnie wasn't home. I had spent all night thinking about Soyeon and then crying and feeling like I'm not good enough for her and I didn't even hear Minnie leave. Wait, Minnie wasn't even home before nighttime. What have I done all day?

I got up, still feeling like shit, then called Miyeon, since I haven't talked to her in two days now.

She didn't pick up.

Again.

No answer.

I called again.

"Hey," She said. "How are you?"

"I'm fine. You?"

"Um, yeah, me too." Miyeon replied. "Sorry for not...you know, reaching out these days?"

I decided to ignore what she just said. "Can you come pick me up today?"

"Of course!" Miyeon sort of exclaimed. "When should I be there?"

"Um...8:30. I wanna be there a bit early today."

"Alright." Miyeon said and hung up. I put my phone on my desk and went to get some breakfast, which ended up being just a couple of chocolate bars and some juice because I really couldn't be bothered to actually make something. I brushed my teeth then went to pick out an outfit.

Just as I was ready, I heard a car horn outside and that was Miyeon. She's here on time for once. I grabbed my bag and ran outside, immediately seeing her waiting for me with a faint smile. We hugged each other tightly, but something felt off about her. Again. Her smile wasn't as warm as it always is.

Miyeon and I got in the car, and immediately I could smell a lot of strong scents and fragrances at once. I fastened my seatbelt and Miyeon started the car, acting like nothing was going on. Again.

"Who the fuck has been in your car?" I asked with a disgusted expression on my face. "It smells really...weird in here."

Miyeon didn't reply at first. "Huh? What did you say again?"

I scoffed. "Miyeon what the fuck is going on. Who's been in your car?"

"No one. Why?"

I looked around and breathed in the strong scents again. I recognized the familiar scent of a perfume, I just couldn't recall where I had smelled it before. Also, the smell of alcohol. It felt like every alcoholic beverage I could think of were mixed in there and had produced this strong smell, next to that familiar fragrance.

"It smells weird in here." I said. "This isn't the smell of your perfume, Miyeon."

"Hm. I don't smell anything weird in here." She said. "Maybe my car just needs to be cleaned."
