Her name was Elizabeta

She twirled in the midnight air. Letting the air flow through her long brown hair as her white dress flowed behind her. She was alone. No one to dance with but that was okay with her. She'd sing her own song and make a dance to match.

She was outside in the grand garden at midnight. She always did this. She would sway to music that was in her mind and smile as she lead herself to dance the waltz.

No one knew what she'd do at night. She kept it very quiet. However there was someone who knew about the late night dance ritual that she would perform. He would come out every night to watch her dance.

His name was Roderich.

He was in love so to say. Every since that one night all those years ago.

"La-la-lala-la." Roderich walked towards the sound of the singing. He was curious as to who it was. It was almost midnight so none of the royal family would be up and he knew none of the servants sung or at least this elegantly. He peeked around the solid cement wall that surrounded the grand garden. A young girl with long brown hair was singing in the middle of the garden. Roderich was entranced. He stayed and listened for awhile. She sang until the sun came up and Roderich stayed and listened the entire night.

When morning came he was harshly awoken by the feeling of ice cold water being dumped over his head.

"Roderich!" A loud accented voice said from above him. "Wake up!" The voice was quickly recognized as Gilbert one of the other servant boys he worked with.

"G-Gilbert!" Roderich yelled through chattering teeth. he shivered, closed his eyes and then opened them slowly to give Gilbert a piercing glare. "Why." Roderich said through clenched teeth.

"You would've gotten in trouble if I hadn't." Gilbert replied with the slight raising of his shoulders in a half hearted shrug. Roderich threw him another glare. "I tried to shake you awake but you just wouldn't wake up." Gilbert said defensively. Roderichs shoulders slackened and he let out a deep sigh.

"I'm going to go get some dry clothes." Roderich started out slowly. "And I'm going to take them from you." He finished with a smirk.

"No you're not!" Gilbert exclaimed. But Roderich had already ran off towards Gilbert's and his charged room.

Three years ago.

That had happened three years ago. He was thirteen at the time. Everyday after that he'd stay and listen to the young girls singing, while moving slowly in his own dance. He'd imagine dancing with the young girl who wore a flower in her hair.

Gilbert never believed him because he's never seen her before. No matter how many times Roderich would tell the story, he'd never believe him.

"Look, it's not that I don't believe you..." Gilbert tapped his finger on his chin. "Actually that's exactly it." Gilbert finished off with a smirk. Roderich rolled his eyes.

"That's what you say everyday." Roderich replied with a huff. Gilbert patted his back sympathetically.

"Unless you can find her and bring her to me so I." Gilbert put a hand against his chest. "Can see her in person, I'll never believe you."

"You'll never believe me regardless." Roderich replied. Gilbert tapped his chin in thought.

"You're probably right about that." He replied with a laugh.
