Setne (Chapter 4 (Part 1))

" I need to find the dagger fast. I need more power, if I want to wage war on those fools."
A voice muttered to itself.

This was Setne or commonly known as Prince Prince Khaemwaset, he always had a cocky face and looked very lean.

After Setne became a magician, he wanted more power and so he went for the book of Toth, and killing people was his side job.

So he got banished from Egypt...

There was a source of power that Setne wanted. It's small but the power it holds is humongous even for a magician..

The dagger of Set, and he needed that type of power.

There was a rumor , spread throughout the lands of Egypt, a cave called the Cave of Despair had a secret scroll that was made by Set to instruct on how to use the dagger as Set knew the consequences of fighting Horus.

Of course, there had to be a catch.  The cave was forbidden to everyone if anyone does find it and it was a place that even the gods don't know.

There are probably monsters lurking around every corner, due to the unusual amount of magical energy.

But Setne was confident he could get it. After all he is the greatest magician alive.

But he had a problem, where is the Cave of Despair.

So he had an idea

To find the Book of Magicians.

The Book of Magicians, a book that held the knowledge of the last remaining head magicians before they died. Magicians was respected all around the world and so was the book.

The pharaoh knew some of its powers as he is a magician himself, So he only allowed magicians to read the book for spells

Of course there are forbidden chapters that are protected by spells. The Gods knowing the true extent of its powers, hid it inside the Cave of Magic, Everyone knows where the cave is and some have tried to find the book so they can learn spells but failed.

Due to a Guardian that even the Gods fear...

Who is impossible to beat....

But to get past him...

He needed a sacrifice..

A sacrifice of Immortality..

Setne P.O.V:

I got the guardian thing covered.

Yes, I know what you're going to say; but Setne, you don't have immortality, no human does.

Actually, I do. While I had tried to get the book of Toth, I found something just as precious : a book that contains a spell....

And guess what the spell is about?

A spell of Immortality...

" Give me a cloak that can hide my identity." I said.

" That will be 4 silver, sir."

" Here." I said as I tossed 4 silver pieces.

I need to find that cave and I know exactly where to look.
