Bang! Bang! Bang! Three bullets zipped past my ear. I sprinted, dodging trees and jumping over logs. Dirt flew upwards everytime my paws touched the soft, forest dirt. Bang! Another bullet. My soft, gray fur blew wildly as I ran.

I took a sharp right turn to keep from colliding with a great oak tree. I guess it wanted a hug. I heard the hunters whooping somewhere close by and I fortunately managed to find the strength to run faster. Even with the sudden burst of speed, the hunters always stayed within ten feet away.

"We've got it cornered!" Yelled a hunter that had a raspy voice, like he'd been yelling all day twenty four-seven.
"Hurry! Its getting away!" Yelled another. His voice was deep and manly.
"Faster!" The last one yelled. He sounded like a little kid.

I didn't dare to look back, I just kept running. Suddenly I saw a building. It was a mansion with walls made of stone and wood.
The whole building looked like it had been made by animals and humans working together.

I decided to go to the mansion. I dashed to the door, about ten feet away from the door the hunters stopped. They looked confused. Then I realized there was a giant barrier. It turned invisible and I stared at the hunters. How did I get in?!

The youngest hunter wiped a tear from his face. It was probably his first time hunting. The hunters turned away and disappeared into the trees. At that moment I changed into my human form. That's right, I said human form. You see, I can turn into a wolf whenever I want to. My parents say I'm special, I think I'm a freak.

Ever since I was born I've been able to transform into one or the other. I am usually a human, unless I am in the woods. Then I'm a wolf. That's how I met the hunters, my stupid brain telling me it was a great day to frolik and play.

In my human form, I was a young girl. I had long, chocolate brown hair and ice blue eyes. I had a grey tank top and shorts. My flip flops were white. I slowly and cautiously walked towards the door. I passed flowers and bushes.

I placed my hand on the doorknob. I slowly turned it and was surprised to see it was unlocked. I pushed open the door and walked in. The room was decorated with pictures of wolves, deer, birds, snakes, and other animals. There were couches in front of a fireplace and a grand staircase in the middle of the large room.

It went up a ways and then split in two sets of stairs, both leading to a different side of the mansion. There were log posts to support the second floor and for a moment I thought they were for decoration.

A girl with red hair and brownish eyes walked down the steps. When she saw me she frowned for a moment and said "Who are you?"

I was too stunned to answer. Her frown lessened and she walked up to me. "I'm Kallie" she announced and stuck out her hand. She reminded me of a lion, she looked like she was in charge too, the way she moved, how she looked, she could have been president.

I probably looked like an idiot because she laughed, not to be mean but because she was trying to be nice. I was really confused.
"I'm Amber.." I introduce. She smiled.
"Nice to meet you Amber!" She said happily.

I nodded and two boys walked down the steps. The boy on the right stared at me like I was a million dollars. The boy on the left just looked at Kallie.

"Hey Dylan. Hey Alex." She said tiredly, like they were her annoying brothers. The one on the right payed Kallie no attention, and stared at me.

"She's hot..." He said dreamily. I looked at Kallie.
"Dylan! Don't make me punch you!" She snapped. The one named Dylan clearly got the message. He put his hands up in surrender. I stifled a laugh.

The other one, named Alex rolled his eyes. He walked down the steps with his brother and up to Kallie.

"These are my idiot brothers. That's Dylan the head wolf Nova, and that's Alex the head snake Nova." She explained. I nodded like I understood but instead I was confused and dizzy. Dylan glanced at me every once in a while.
