Jade's POV:

"Good morning my love. I brought you coff... Jesus! You look like you have been hit by a trailer Jade."

"He woke up in the night and didn't blink till morning. It's a miracle he didn't cry. I don't give you enough credit. Is this what you go through?"

"Not all the time. Besides I'm used to it."

"Women deserve multiple awards. That coffee will come in handy. I might be needing another cup once I'm done showering. It's definitely going to be a long day."

"I asked if you were sure. I'll prepare you something good for work and how does a homemade apple juice sound?"

"Good baby."

I rush down to the bathroom and as I was about to enter the shower, I catch a glimpse of my reflection on our giant bathroom glass. What? I look like someone who hasn't slept in decades. Call it overreacting I don't care. It's been long since I last stayed up all night.

"Here you go, baby. Have a lovely stress free day."

"And you too babe. Best of luck with your sketches."

Once I'm settled in, I pull out my phone and dial Paige's number. I blocked her other line and totally forgot to do the same to this. Just imagine if I had set my messages to show messages, hell would have let loose yesterday because Ella would have seen the text she sent. 'Just thought to let you know that our baby girl is kicking'.

"Paige when I said lose my number I meant it. I don't care if the baby is kicking or not. It's none of my business. I'm not her father! "

"You are and nobody paid me to bear you this one."

"Come again."

"Can you not remember an iota of what occurred that night?"

"Please enlighten me. I paid you money. What else do you want? "

"Your secret is safe with me. No one is going to know she was paid to bear you a child."

"Oh God. What else did I tell you?"

"That's all I can recall for now."

"I was drunk. Possibly intoxicated by whatsoever you put in my drink. I said a lot of stupid things. How does that even sound to you? Does that make any sense? Let this be the first and the last time you call me or send me any text. I love my family and there's nothing I won't do to protect them. Absolutely nothing. Have a great life and don't contact me till you have the DNA results."

"Are you threatening me?"

"Call it whatever you want." I end the call and throw the phone at wall.

"My God....."

"Ella? I didn't see you there. How long have you been standing there?"

"I just came in. Is this about the files you forgot at home or about watching Kendrick?"

"What? No. Never."

"So what's wrong? I was on my way to work when I noticed your file on the glass table where I left your food pack."

"It's just I have been under a lot of pressure lately. I'm sorry you had to see that."

"I have been a selfish wife. I was ranting about how my day went yesterday that I forgot to ask how work has been going."

"Hey.. It's okay."

"You forgot this at home. Thought it might be an important document you need."

"Thanks darling."
