As they talked, he climbed up the back of the throne and stole the key. Then he crawled back the beginning of the entrance and gave out a loud shout.
"Aah! Please don't kill me! I'll give you anything you want!" Alex shouted.
Arthur and Alexander both heard his shout.
"Foolish child," Alexander said standing up and leaving the room.
Alex crept inside and brought out a rope from his pockets.
"Pssst Arthur. Down here," he called out to his black haired friend in a whisper.
Arthur looked down and on seeing Alex he smiled.
"Catch," Alex whispered throwing Arthur one end of the rope.
Arthur caught it and as Alex instructed him to pull him up, he pulled him up. Alex climbed to the top of the cage and went on his knees to unlock the cage since the keyhole was on top of the cage. He helped Arthur out and unlocked his handcuffs.
"Let's jump down on the count of three," Arthur said once he was free and he held Alex by the hand.
"Three," he said and they both jumped down.
They then heard the black art master's voice approaching. They hid behind his throne as he walked in and looked around for Arthur.
"This way," Alex whispered and turned round to lead Arthur to the secret passage way but when they turned round the black art master was there right behind them.
"Going somewhere boys?" he asked.
They both began to run away again. The black art master flying after them. They picked up random objects and threw them back at him but he dodged them swiftly.
"You're not going anywhere! Doors close at once!" exclaimed Alexander as they were about reaching the main entrance.
It was now a rolling shutter door and it began to close. The door was coming down. Arthur looked at Alex and they both nodded at each other. They slid under the almost closed door. The door closed before Alexander came out but then he teleported out and kept chasing them. They started heading down the hill stepping in those black liquids. When they wee almost down, they saw their mothers down there.
"Alex!" exclaimed the auburn haired lady joyfully.
"Arthur! What's going on?!" exclaimed the black haired lady in fright as she and the auburn haired lady saw the black art master.
When Arthur stepped in the third to the last of the puddles of black liquid, he got stuck. Alex tried to pull him out but to no avail. The liquid seemed to be trying to swallow Arthur part by part starting with his feet.
"Futile try child. He will take my place and they'll be nothing you can do about it," said Alexander.
"No. Arthur has to come out," said Alex still struggling to free his friend with tears flooding his eyes.
The substance had reached Arthur's waist by now.
"No Alex. Go. Take our mums and get out of here," said Arthur.
"But I can't leave you here," Alex said.
"I'll be fine," Arthur said.
"Arthur's right Alex. We have to leave and come back later when we have a plan on how to rescue him," the auburn haired lady said.
Alex turned round. Then he looked back at Arthur who gave him a reassuring smile. He went over to the women and the auburn haired lady hugged him affectionately.
"No one's going anywhere! You all know too much. You all have to die!" the black art master exclaimed.
"Dad, you can't do that! They've done nothing wrong. You're planning to kill the very woman you claimed to love. You should be ashamed of yourself," Arthur said while struggling to break free and pounce on his father.
