"You will never be my king."
The words echoed over the field as a gasp went through the crowd. Lightning fast the canines of the king came out and a growl that sent a shiver over Winter's back followed.
This was it, this was the moment. Winter knew it.
"I am the king, I am the one and only king. You shall bow for me, You shall all bow for me."
The alpha vibes washed over the field. Winter felt how it pulled on her insides, she had to fight it, fight it hard. But she managed to look the king right in the eye and not bow down.
That angered the king even more.
And then he looked startled behind Winter. Roderick hadn't bowed down either.
"I think it's time for a new king." Winter said.
The king released his hold on the crowd and they all looked back up. The air filled with tension as the crowd awaited the king's next move. And then he started laughing, everybody looked startled at the king.
"You want Roderick to become the new king?" The king laughed even harder.
"You know brother, that you will have to kill me before I hand you the throne." The king smirked towards the prince.
"I know and I will just do that." Roderick answered confident.
"Brother we both know that you don't have what it takes to be a good king." He smirked.
"At least he knows that a dungeon full of sex slaves isn't the way to go." Winter defended the prince.
"You even need the help of a woman to defend yourself. Is that what this is? Are you in love with my mate?" The king looked challenging at Roderick.
"Do you perhaps want to share?" The king smirked.
"You are despicable." Winter spat.
"Didn't the lesson before the ceremony made that already clear?" The king asked arrogantly.
The king grabbed Winter's chin and pulled her closer.
"I have behaved for you.
I have been easy on you.
Don't mistake my kindness for weakness.
You killed my advisor. You released my prisoners and you insulted me numerous times. I can as well bend you here over the altar and take you."
The king moved closer to her ear so only she could hear his next words.
"Or push you down in the grass, tear your clothes from your body, press you down with one hand, because you are just a week little lamb and I will take what is mine."
Winter was startled for a second. How could he know what happened that night?
"Did you really think he wouldn't tell me?"
Winter stood frozen for a second, she didn't know what to do. She felt frightened, she needed Arsen by her side. And then things became worse, Winter had been so out of it that she didn't see the next move of the king.
He crashed his lips against hers, forcing a kiss on her.
"Roderick hasn't found his mate, why on earth would you think the people will accept him as the new king. And that not alone, do you really think that he would be able to defeat me?" The king challenged Winter.
"You are my mate, everyone can see that." The king smirked.
Winter looked around and then she regained her senses.
"Because you haven't found your mate either, you were just planning to force me." She answered.
A gasp went through the crowd and people looked confused at each other.
"And I will do just that." The king angrily spat as he grabbed Winter's wrist.
"No, you won't."
Winter answered confident, she was however shaking on the inside.
"As we all witnessed a few seconds ago, you can't force me."
She smirked and pulled her wrist out of the kings hold.
"Does your precious pack mean nothing to you?" the king asked.
Winter felt a pang of guilt inside her chest.
"They mean the world to me." she answered.
"That's why I am stopping you."
"Tell me, how are you planning on doing that?" The king smirked.
"My army will crush your pathetic pack in seconds. An army of rogues and traitors that will be defeated in seconds."
"Your army?" Roderick joined the conversation.
The king looked startled at his brother for a few seconds.
"In the end they obey my command." the king hissed.
"Winter kicked your palace guard out." Roderick smirked.
"She did, but she won't be able to command my special elite, not as long as I am alive." The king grinned.
And on his signal a hundred wolves stepped forward.
"You are not the only one that trained on the alpha command" The king smirked.
"And besides you can't fight on all fronts. So, if you want to keep going with overruling my commands instead of fighting, go ahead." The king smirked.
'Arsen how far are you?' Winter quickly connected.
'At the gates.' he answered.
'Hurry up, the king has pulled his special elite forward.' Winter felt nervous.
"I see you have a surprise behind your back." The king answered amused.
"I underestimated you, my queen." The king smiled.
"But rest assured, I won't make that mistake twice. When we are finished here, you'll be chained to my bed, with me buried deep inside you. Marking you all over your body, so everyone will know that you are mine and mine alone." He licked his lips.
"You will carry more pups than anyone has ever seen. And I will show each and every pup to your precious alpha Arsen. Who will be kept locked up in the deepest darkest dungeon of this castle. Breaking him a little further every time."
A tear rolled over Winter's cheek by the mention of her mate suffering.
"You can stop all this." The king looked at Winter.
"You simply have to let me mark you." The king smirked.
"She will never wear your mark." Arsen roared from the other side of the field.
