The princess still wrapped up in her thoughts followed the wizard into the forest. The rain thankfully has stopped, and the skies are now bright and blue. The wizard looks around for an area to rest and finds a nice, shaded area not too far from them. They head over and sit down to come up with their plans for the upcoming days.
“So, what are your plans now princess? Do you still want me to heal your father, since apparently, he is not even your real father? “The wizard says.” Yes, he might not be my father, but he is the man who raised me, and I owe him for that. Plus, I want answers only he can answer.” The princess says while looking into the wizards’ eyes. “Okay then we will take some rest for now and start our trip up the mountain first thing tomorrow morning.” The princess agrees hesitantly because she knows they need to hurry but needs to gather herself before facing the kingdom. The wizard pulls out a small brown bag and starts digging forearm deep inside the bag. The wizard then pulls out a bed roll and pillow. He lays it down under a tree and then lays down. The princess remained in her spot and looks around to find an area to rest. She quicky grabs her bag and starts setting up camp across the way under a hug pine tree. “Don’t wonder to far princess, you don’t know the monsters that wonder this forest.” The wizard says looking at the princess. “I will be fine, thank you” The princess says while searching for her bed roll, only to find it gone. “Where is my bed roll.” The princess whispers to herself while taking everything out of the bag. After emptying everything out to her dismay, the princess can not find her bad roll and decides to curl up on the ground and use her bag as a pillow. After a couple minutes the princess hears a low chuckle come from across the way. Quickly looking over she see the wizard looking over at her with a wide smirk on his face. “What do you find funny?” the princess asks while sitting up and crossing her arms. “Well, you see it is kind of a funny story, I might or might not have taken this bed roll I found in the forest the other day.” The wizard says while looking up at the skies which are now turning darker as the sun goes down. “You might have stolen my bed roll?” the princess yells while marching over to the wizard. Still laying down the wizard say, “Now can you prove this is your bed roll?” “No but mine is gone and look just like the one you are laying on now.” The princess exclaims while looking sternly down at the wizard. “Now princess where have your manners gone, here I am following you to your kingdom, to heal your sick father, and all you can do is accus me of stealing a bed roll?” The wizard says with his eyes closed. “No sorry please forgive me.” The princess says while attempting to cover up herself more as the wind picks up and darkness takes over the forest. “I will forgive you, if you join me.” The wizard says while scooting over and patting the ground beside him. “Please forgive me but you know I can not do that.” The princess says while staring at the ground biting her lip.
