Spells and rituals

Inside was a giant room illuminated by small crystal, place in a circle around what looks like a ritual platform. After not spotting anyone in the room the wizard signals to the princess to follow him as he enters the room. Once inside the wizard starts investigating, the room is about 30 feet tall and around 60 feet wide. Other then the platform in the center of the room, there was benches and a crate of bottles filled with a strange blue liquid. The wizard grabs one of the bottles and places it into his bag. The princess walks over to the platform and sees writing on the floor by is unable to understand what it says. The princess noticed a green stone in the center of the circle, and slowly steps onto the platform to get a closer look. As the princess steps closer to the center, she heard a loud click and the ground beneath her starts to vibrate. The wizard quickly looks over to find the princess standing on the platform as it starts to rise off the ground. Panicking the princess attempts to run off the platform but was stopped by an invisible force field. “Help” the princess screamed as she was slowly dragged toward the center of the platform by the invisible wall. The wizard sprinted to the platform and attempted to rescue the princess but was meet by the same force field that stopped the princess from leaving. Yelling out of frustration the wizard cast Ray of Frost towards the invisible wall. Watching as the ray of ice hits the wall and disappears like nothing happened. The platform came to an abrupt stop about 3 feet off the ground, and slowly the words started to glow green. The princess is now in the center of the circle and is glowing from the stone beneath her feet. The wizard attempted every spell he could master but all of them failed to get through the invisible wall. After realizing there is nothing, he could do the tired wizard sits on the bench behind him and watches as the scene before him unfolds.
