I walked over to the church slowly. It was a Sunday morning and i was feeling a bit lazy. I saw some other people walk by including a girl in a maroon hoodie and a boy in a yellow shirt and black leather jacket.
I walked into the church and found a suprising amount of people there. I guess this was the only church in town. It was almost as if the whole town was crammed into that one single hall. I looked around for Selever but he was nowhere to be seen. I decided to sit down in one of the rows. The girl in a maroon hoodie and the boy in the yellow shirt and black leather jacket sat next to me.
"Heya! You seem pretty new around here." the girl said. "Yeah, i moved here a few days ago." i said, nodding. "Well nice to meet you. My name is Axel." she nudged the boy. "My name's Taylor." he said. "I'm (y/n)." i said, smiling. "Do you go to the highschool in the center of town?" i asked, in hopes of making a friend who goes to the same school as me. "Yup. I'm seventeen. Taylor is 18, but he sorta had to redo grade 3 when he moved here. So we're both in grade 11. What about you?" she asked. "I'm 17 as well. I guess we'll be in the same class then!" i said happily. Axel nodded and grinned.
The noise in the crowd went quiet as a nun in a purple habit appeared in front of the cross. "That's the head nun!" Axel whispered to me. That must be Selever's mom, then.
-after mass-
I stretched as i stood up. Mass was over, and a bunch of people were leaving now. "You leavin?" Axel said, getting up from her seat. "Nah, i got someone to meet here." Axel nodded and waved. "Well, seeya around then! We both come here every Sunday morning. Hope to see you at school!" she smiled at me and Taylor waved. I stood there as i watched them walk away."What are you still doing here?" i heard a voice say. I looked behind and saw Selever standing there. "Oh hey, i was just about to go look for you." i grinned. "Hm, alright. Since you're here, why don't you help me clean up?" he said, throwing me a broom. "Fine." i started sweeping around as Selever pushed the chairs neatly to the side. "So, the head nun is your mom, right?" Selever nodded. "You don't talk much. Not the talkative type?" Selever just raised an eyebrow. "Nope, he usually never shuts the hell up." i heard a deep voice with a russian accent say. I looked towards the voice to see an extremely tall man in a grey jacket. "That's my dad. He's supposed to be helping me with these chairs right now. Thanks for the help, old man." Selever said sarcastically. "You seem to be fine without me." his father said, pushing a chair to the side neatly with one hand. He made it seem so easy. We cleaned up the hall in awkward silence after that. "Hm, It's unsually quiet out here." a female voice said, breaking the silence. It was the head nun. "Oh, hello! I haven't seen you around here before." she said, noticing me. "This is my friend (y/n)." Selever answered for me. "Hello, nice to meet you!" i said, waving my hand. "Nice to meet you too! My name is Sarvente, Selever's mother. Thank you for helping us clean up the church!" she said smiling. "And I'm guessing my husband didn't introduce himself properly yet. This is Ruv." she pointed at Ruv. He waved his hand at me in response. "Well, I'm glad Selever is finally making friends! He's always in his room or causing trouble-" "Momm!!" Selever cut her off. He seemed embarrassed, and i couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, feel free to visit any time!" Sarvente said with a smile.
