Chapter 1

Napabalikwas ako sa pagkakahiga at napaayos ng upo upon reading the email that I've received from the organization that I've joined in my university.

"Oh my God!!"

"Hoy?! Napano ka?" Nes asked me walking out of the bathroom habang pinupunasan ang buhok nya. I can't contain the happiness I'm feeling kaya napatayo agad ako at niyakap sya na ikinagulat niya.

"My confirmation letter na 'ko, dun sa sinalihan kong org!!" Niyugyogyugyog ko pa sya.

It's the organization for my course kaya ina-aim ko talaga na maaccept dito, kung hindi drop na ko ganorn!

"Congrats babee, lemme see!" Pinakita ko kay Nes ung confirmation email at tinignan nya rin ung kanya, and luckily she got accepted as well, dun naman sa inapplyan niyang organization rin sa course nya.

We both enrolled in FEU, actually we are four wala lang dito si Audrina and Roesia, bukas pa daw uuwi si Aud, it's her mom's birthday today, while Roe is out enjoying her life.

Nes is pursuing Fine Arts while I'm taking up Accountancy. As for Aud, we are in the same department, she is taking Marketing. Then Roe is pursing HRM.

I rolled around my bed. I can't sleep, maybe because I'm so excited dahil bukas na ang start ng class which means that it's my first day of college life. Parang kelan lang naggagarter at pogs lang kami tapos ngayon college girl na. Ang bilis bilis ng panahon.

I chit chatted with my blockmates in our group chat, nagusap-usap kami na magmeet sa gate 4 before 7:30 am para sabay sabay kami papasok. The first three person na mauuna sa meeting place ay mayroong free na fries from Bret. Syempre dahil competitive ako pinatulan ko sila!

Bago 'ko maligo sinilip ko si Nesreen sa kabilang kwarto, she fell asleep again after arranging Aud's grab. I tried to wake her up dahil kanina pa tunog ng tunog ang alarm niya but she said five more minutes.

After taking a bath and doing my routine, I tried to wake her up again but here she goes again with her magic word kaya di na 'ko nag-abala na gisingin pa siya bago 'ko umalis dahil baka di pa ubos ang five minutes niya.

I went to school earlier than Nes, si Aud and Roe naman ay kakarating lang at magna-nap daw muna, afternoon pa naman daw ang umpisa ng class nila. Edi sana lahat. I even saw kuya Nael outside the apartment.

Walking distance lang naman ang school namin from our apartment, It would take more or less 10 minutes of walk. We chose apartment to avoid the hassle of traffic and lates. During our junior and senior high, malapit lang naman kami sa school. Probably thirty minutes if maglalakad but 5 minutes kung nakasasakyan.

Madalas kaming malate pareparehas dahil sabay sabay kami pumapasok, mahal din malate, kailangan magbabayad ka ng sampung piso kada limang minuto na late ka.

Mayroon din naman mga dorm malapit at sa tapat ng school, kaya lang istrikto sa curfew at madaming bawal. Even appliances are not allowed. Cooking is not allowed, which makes the four of us decided to rent an apartment instead.

Di naman namin kaya mabuhay ng apat na taon sa outside at instant foods. Sayang naman ang cooking skills namin kung hindi magagamit, si Nesreen di ko lang sure.

I'm walking while sippin' on my coffee when my phone vibrated, I did not bother to look who's calling kasi alam ko na kung sino ang tumatawag, I double tapped my right airpods.

"Oh?"

"What the hell Aera!! You did not wake me up!" Halos marinig ko na naiiyak na si Nesreen sa kabilang linya. She hates being late and absenting in class.

"Anong what the hell what the hell ka dyan, Hoy kanina pa kita ginigising mukhang di maubos ubos ung five minutes mo kaya umalis na ko!" Sagot ko habang inaantay na maggreen ang stoplight.
