"What are you up to?" Mrs. Jacob inquires, concerned.
"It's been two days and we haven't done anything," Mrs. Jacob continues.
Mrs. Jacob becomes frustrated and yells when she receives no answer from Mr. Jacob while he is more focused on his work "Okay. Enough. I'm heading to the police station to express my suspicions about Mrs. Rosewood."
Mr. Jacob stops her just as she is about to depart and says, "Wait, honey. I intend to sneak into her house and uncover the truth."
"What does she do at home?"
"Who exactly is she?"
"I want to find out what she's hiding from all of us," Mr. Jacob says.
"What? You're going to peek in her house... I mean to sneak in..." Mrs. Jacob expresses her disbelief.
"Yes,"
"But if she finds out, she'll smash your head or cut off your head," Mrs. Jacob is concerned.
"Have you seen her when someone comes into her property?"
"She runs like a maniac, ready to smash the head with a hammer or cut off the head with a knife," Mrs. Jacob's fear is obvious in her voice.
"That's exactly what a serial killer does... smashes the head, chops off the hand, and rips out the heart..." Mr. Jacob asserts.
"Exact killer behavior,"
"But please be cautious and stay alert. I don't want anything to happen to you," Mrs. Jacob breaks down in sobs.
"Hey. Honey, don't cry. I am far more powerful, brave, and strong than that old lady," Mr. Jacob boasts.
"When do you plan to sneak...peek... in her house?" Mrs. Jacob is curious.
"Tonight at 1 a.m.," Mr. Jacob says, looking at the wall clock.
"I still have 5 hours to go," she says.
"Hmmm..."
------------------------------------
Mr. Jacob steps out of his house quietly at 12:50 a.m., as Mrs. Jacob watches from their bedroom window.
Mr. Jacob gestures for her not to be concerned and to keep a watch on Mrs. Rosewood's home as well as on the road, and if she finds or sees anything odd, she should fire the rocket from their balcony as a signal for him to leave the premises immediately.
Mr. Jacob walks across the street, glances around to confirm that he is alone, and no one is looking at him.
He jumps over the fence to enter the house and stands still for a few seconds to watch for any movement or reaction from inside.
"There's nothing... Good..." Mr. Jacob thinks to himself.
He walks quietly to the main door and tries to take a peek inside, but he can't see anything because the curtains have completely obscured the inside view.
So he decides to go to the backyard door and peek through the side windows.
He continues to walk slowly and gently, peeping through the windows, but everything is covered.
He approaches the rear door and thinks about how to open the window. He got close to the window when the german-shepherd dog started barking at Mr. Jacob.
Within a few seconds, the lights in the house and backyard are turned on and Mrs. Rosewood walks out angrily with an old rifle.
"Get off my property," Mrs. Rosewood yells, firing one round into the air. She dashes towards her dog and lets him out.
Mr. Jacob fears for his life when he sees Mrs. Rosewood's intent and runs while a german-shepherd dog chases him. Mr. Jacob escapes by jumping over the fence and sprinting across the road to his house.
--------------------------------------------------------
"What was that? I heard a gunshot..."
"Are you all right?"
"Are you all right?" Mrs. Jacob panics and asks plenty of questions while Mr. Jacob gasps for air on the sofa.
"I'm fine... I'm fine..." says Mr. Jacob, sipping water from a glass.
"How come you didn't tell me Mrs. Rosewood has a German Shepherd dog?" Mr. Jacob screams in frustration.
"Oh, she brought the dog last night, and I forgot to warn you,"
"I assumed dog sleeps in her bedroom for safety," Mrs. Jacob regrets.
Mr. Jacob throws the glass in rage and frustration while Mrs. Jacob sits in fear.
-------------------------------------------
Next Morning, Mr. Jacob gets ready and comes down to breakfast. Mrs. Jacob serves pancakes with scrambled eggs and syrup. Both sat silently, still contemplating the events of the night.
A few minutes later, a black AUDI car parks in front of Mr. Jacob's house, and a man gets out and rings the doorbell.
Mr. Jacob answers the door and realizes it's time to go.
"Honey, My boss has come. I have to go to work," Mr. Jacob kisses her cheeks farewell. Mrs. Jacob smiles as she waves him go.
Mrs.Jacob notices Mrs.Lily seated in the car just as he gets into it. Her adrenaline rushes through her body, but she maintains control over her fury and jealousy.
Mrs. Jacob is enraged and jealous as the car drives away from the house. She was about to enter the house when she noticed Mrs. Rosewood standing on the balcony as well, and their gazes locked.
