Chapter 1

I came home and rushed to my laptop. I quickly logged in and smiled when I found out who was online.

Message for TheMattEspinosa: Ayye :)

I replied saying how are ya? :P

Placing my backpack down, I settled down on my bed and waited for his reply.

TheMattEspinosa: I'm doing pretty good, how are ya doin?

VanessaM: I'm terrible asf.

TheMattEspinosa: why? :(

VanessaM: I have homework to do. so I gtg :(

TheMattEspinosa: I have an idea. 😏

VanessaM: I'm listening...😏

TheMattEspinosa: what if we skyped so you can do your homework and we can talk too ☺️

VanessaM: good idea, call me in 5 mins.

TheMattEspinosa: alright. cya later

We logged out and I got my books and paper work ready. I changed from skinny jeans and a crop top to sweat pants and sweatshirt. it was my ootd(Outfit Of The Day)

I threw my hair in a bun and got a skype video request so I flipped on my bed and answerd.

"Hi" I smiled

"We meet again" he smirked

"Haha" I laughed sarcastically while opening my book.

"What do you have for homework?" He asked.

"Math, I finished earlier in class with geometry so not much" I answerd.

I kept my eyes on my paper so I can finish this faster when I noticed how quiet matthew got. I looked up and he was no where to be found.

"...Matt?" I said

No reply.

"K Matthew this isint funny" I said crossing my arms.

I heard a yell then a bang. I jumped and my heart was beating harder than usual.

"Matt?!" I called louder.

The lights started to flicker and the grudge face creaked in the screen.

"GAAHH!" I yelled falling off my bed.

Matt came laughing so hard he was squeaking and trying to hold his breath.

"That scream" he laughed.

"That's not funny! You scared me!" I exclaimed laughing

"Then why are you laughing" he asked calming down a little.

"I have no response" I said going back to work.

Matthew sighed.

I looked up and saw a sad face plastered on his face.

"What's wrong?" I asked concerned

"I just really want to meet you in person, you're like... my only friend" he sighed.

I stayed silent ... Only because I could feel tears starting to form & about to stream down my cheeks.

I could hear Matt sniffle and he sighed again.

"Look, I have to go. il text you later" he said.

He logged off & now I could feel the tears streaming down my face.

I went back to work until someone knocked at my porch window, I turned and squinted my eyes and saw a familiar guy from school.

I got up and opened the door and he came in.

"Um hi?" I said

"Hey, people talk about how cute and awsome you are" he smiled.

"really? Because no one really hangs with me." I sighed

"They are too worried to be seen with a awsome person like you? that's why." he responded

I started to blush. no one ever said anything like that to me. in fact, it was a A JOCK.

"Anyways, want to have lunch with me at school tomorrow?" He asked

"I-er-ye-su- okay" I studderd

"Okay cool see you tomorrow cutie" he winked and left

Holy shiz.

I texted Matt ... 1) Because I needed to know if he was okay ...

2) I had to tell him what happened.

V: Matt ? Are you there? 😕

I waited for his response

M: I'm fine ... What's up ? What's with the face expression ?

V:A school jock asked me to have lunch with him ?

He was typing because you could see the dots of when a person is typing then, they disappeared & appeared again.

M: Be careful ! School jocks aren't what they seem like Vanessa ! & I don't want you to get hurt ...

If we were in person I could tell he would've sighed ...

V: Okayy goodnight Matt ... Well skype or text or whatever tomorrow ... Night

I texted & layed on my bed debating whether or not I should go to lunch with the jock. If I do, il be more reconized and maybe make more friends. if I don't it shows that I trust matthew more, what will matt think if he founds out I went with the jock?

I moaned of Fustraition and forced myself to sleep.
