Chapter I

     The wind touches me, making my skin to tremble. My hair flutters in the air, letting the lovely scent caress me. I look up and notice that the sky is clear and the stars  and the moon shine brighter than usual. I lay on my back. Due of the silence and the lack of people on the street tonight, the creaking of the sunbed can be heard up to three houses away. I get up lightly and enter the house.

    - I'm craving for berry tea, I said catching my hair in a simple ponytail. My head is starting to hurt, probably from the wind blowing too hard. I head to the closet and grab a cup for the much-desired tea.

     Suddenly, my phone rang. Probably is him! Of course is him...

    - Did you do it? 

     His thick voice resound in my mind. 

 Screw you

    - Sir, I am sorry, but Nereo-

    - Did you miss it again? Why are you always letting him to take your advantage? he screamed. You know that you are better than my own people, Lorena, don't you? Your skills made you what you are now! 

     He is right. Even if I need to have the courage to do it later, I'm still kind of scared. My past is gettin' blurry and I'm starting to forget all my memories. The only flashbacks that will never fade is their last look. The eyes full of tears and the blood running on their faces are haunting me every night. 

     All of a sudden, a knock on the door can be heard.

    - Sir, I have to go. Tomorrow I will come to the company!

    - Lorena -

     I ended up the call to walk to the door. 

 For sure he will gonna scream because of my behavior...

     Pulling the door , a very known face appears in front of me.

   - Mia sorella!

 It can't be worse..

   - Silvio, where the hell have you been?!

   - Don't worry, bella, he had a lot of fun tonight! the other man giggles. 

   - And who are you? 

His attitude pisses me of. Who is this man? 

    Silvio is my only family that I still have. He wasn't with me when the accident happened and thank God he's alive because without him I wouldn't survive. But usually he's not staying at home and I'm curious why he returned back.

  - Can't we just enter, signora? Your brother's legs are like a boiled noodle. You will miss a whole story if you're refusing us.

     I open the door wider so they can enter, but I'm starting to regret my decision.

  - You had redecorated some things here, don't you? It is really pretty, to be honest, said Silvio. He sat quickly on the sofa. 

  - If you wouldn't leave always - 

  - You know that the business, he said loudly, is not going well. There is someone who wants me very much...

  - You? Wants you? Who would want you? I don't know any single lady that would want you. You have to live with this face, fratello mio! 

     Laughing at my own joke, I felt a gaze on me. I turn my back looking at the man who got my brother safe. 

  - Silvio is a real gentleman, you know? New girls are leaving his bedroom daily, he laughed. 

  - Firstly, who are you? I get up fast preparing myself to beat this weird man. I appreciated that he helped Silvio, but why is he still in my house? 

  - Wow, Lorena! Chill down! 

  - Chill down?! I said

The strange man quickly pulled out a gun and aimed it at me.

  - Do you think you scare me with that gun? I asked.

  -  Pedro. Put the goddamn gun down. Now! 

I am so confused by the words and actions from the both of the guys.

  - What the hell is happening here, Silvio?i point to the strange man in my living room.

  - Cara sorella, this is Pedro. My bodyguard. Pedro, this is my beloved sister.

He smiles softly at me. He get up and goes to the kitchen. 

  - Do you have something to drink here?he whispered. 

 Since when is he having a bodyguard?

  - Uhm...

  - When I had got the mission in Alaska, things were rough. A lot of people were killed but this man, he pointed at the blonde guy, saved my life.

  - That's right.

  - The boss knows you're back?

  - This is the problem here. He doesn't and he won't know, alright?

  - Are you insane? If I'll lie and he finds you, I will die!

  - I don't know, sis'. You have to watch your back.

      I don't understand why he's even here.  Why did he showed up all of a sudden? I go to the fridge, letting my thoughts fill my mind. 

   - Did you find happiness in something? 

   - What...?

   - You know, after the accident...

   - Stop right here. How can I be happy when my only desired dream is not fulfilled? Until I don't kill the man who killed ma' and pa' I won't stop. 

   - And that's why you've become an assassin, he smirk.
