The number of people disappearing was increasing.
Reports stated the disappearance of people was random, not caring for the age nor race. The youngest was 12 years old and two of the disappeared people were foreigners. Some were Quirkless. Because the pattern was unpredictable and there was no traces of the culprits who did this, experienced Heroes began to be included. Perhaps the one behind this was the League of the Villain, or maybe even something sinister...
Despite the darkness that had took over the city for the night, there were still people bustling through here and there, colourful lights from buildings lit up this city in Japan. Jumping from to roof to another roof, was an Underground Hero, Eraserhead. He finally settled on top of a roof and blend in with the surrounding with his dark clothes.
Aizawa Shota adjusted the scarf around him, eyes darting towards here and there. There had been no suspicious sights of any kidnapping activities going on. Yet, people were still disappearing. He'd rather to settle this quickly, as it would be 3 weeks away from the U.A. school festival. He was already busy with his work as a teacher and a hero. Goodness, how long had it been since he had a break? Retirement seemed nice, but maybe in a few decades later. He still had some young brats to teach.
" What the -- wah! "
Aizawa turned to the sound, bracing himself to get ready for any saving life situation or so. But instead, he saw Nazra and Uka looking up at him from the street.
" I thought we were stalked or something! " Nazda fumed, rubbing her chest steadily. " Like, thanks for doing your job, Eraserhead, but don't just appear like that again! " Ever since Aizawa had Uka as Nezuko's babysitter, these two best friends had been hanging out with Nezuko and often see him.
He hummed, leaping off the roof and landed in front of the women. " Sorry for the scare. How did you see me, though? " He was so sure he had blended in with the surrounding enough not to be spotted, but here is a normal citizen seeing him as if he just randomly did a jumpscare at them.
Uka answered, " Nazra has a really amazing sight. She could see things that are hard to spot most of the times."
" Your Quirk then? "
" I am Quirkless." Nazra replied and Aizawa raised a confused eyebrow at this. He didn't pushed the topic further, thinking that everyone has their own ability, with Quirk or not. He settled for another topic instead.
" Have either of you seen any weird activities lately? Around the restaurant or neighborhood? "
Uka shook her head, but then Nazra snapped her fingers. " If it's related to the rumours of missing people, I have a bit suspicion on this location."
" Any information will be valuable." He nodded, allowing her to continue.
" You can actually see it from here, " Nazra turned to face the forest side across the street, " there's this house. I've never seen it before and Uka and I have been walking in this street to get back home for a long time. I also have never seen people going in or out from that house. "
Uka threw her a look of confusion. " Wait, you didn't tell me this."
" You didn't see the house? " Nazra pointed towards the location. " Come on, it's not that far. You could see the roof...the gate...and that cat sitting on the stonewall..."
Aizawa and Uka tilted their heads, looking at the same direction. Silence followed.
" Nazra, " Aizawa began, " there's nothing there. "
The woman stared at them and gave a playful scoff. " Huh, your Quirk must have some kind of effect on your eyes."
" There is nothing in the spot you pointed at. No house, no cat." Aizawa tapped his foot in annoyance. " I've got not times for silly games. I should be focusing on my mission. Thank you for trying to help."
Nazra's eyebrows knitted. " Huh? Wait -- " she trailed off as the Hero turned and leaped towards the roof, disappearing in the darkness once again. She turned to her friend in irritation. " God, what is up with him! I am not lying! You could see the house, right? "
Uka threw her friend a concern look. " Nazra...I can't see what you're describing. Maybe it's -- something only you can see? You know? Sixth sense of yours? " She waved her hand over her eyes, referring to her friend's unique ability.
At this Nazra fell silent. She looked back at the direction for a few seconds and dropped her head in defeat. Scratching her covered head, Nazra sighed.
" Let's just be on our way. "
Uka, who had been friends with Nazra for as long as she remembered, was accustomed to these kind of things. Both were familiar with the existence of another beings and had become used to ignoring them. As both women began to walk away, Nazra gave another glance at the house that only she could see.
The cat -- a tricolor calico cat with shining amber eyes -- seemed to stare back at her from afar.
