Quick Note 1: In the original source, the Demon Lord's Blade is the called the "Demon Lord's Hammer". I changed the "Hammer" to "Blade" since that's what it is — a katana.
Quick Note 2: The 7:3 pledge is a vow between master and servant that means the servants will follow their leaders for life. The pledge Rikuo and (YN) did with Zen in "Sworn Brother Zen" was the 5:5 pledge. This means those who took this pledge recognize each as equals, almost like siblings.
At nighttime over Ukiyoe Town, the clouds loom in a spiral as large groups of yokai of the Shikoku Hachijuhakki Yako descend from it. Another large group of Shikoku Yokai appear when a dark yokai aura rolled down an alleyway.
Male Shikoku Yokai 1: We are gathering at Tamazuki-sama's location.
Male Shikoku Yokai 2: All will gather at Tamazuki-sama's location.

The next day at Ukiyoe Middle School, the Nura brothers, Tsurara, Aotabo, Kokushibo and Akaza recall Tamazuki's promise of not targeting their friends and the people of the town.
Rikuo: It's a relief that Tamazuki won't be harming our friends or the people in the town anymore. But we should still be careful.
Tsurara: The yokai aura in this town has been getting more intense. We shouldn't let our guard down.
Hakuji (Akaza): She's right, they're ruthless. I wouldn't put anything past them.
Rikuo looks down with sadden eyes when Kiyotsugu yelled out, making everyone turn to him in annoyance.
Kiyotsugu: This is so disappointing! There are doezens and dozens of posts about yokai sightings all over this town on my homepage! Yet I still haven't seen a signle one!
Saori: You should consider yourself lucky. We've all been scared out of our wits too many times.
Natsumi: I've seen enough of yokai.
Natsumi turns to Kana, who sat silently and lost in her thoughts.
Natsumi: Right, Kana?
Natsumi's question snaps Kana back to reality.
Kana: Huh?
Kiyotsugu: However, I made a solemn promise to undeniably prove the existence yokai! I won't be satisfied until I see them with my own eyes! You understand, Shima-kun?!
Shima: I do!
Kiyotsugu: Then, the Kiyojuji Paranormal Patrol with have another training camp at the Nura House this weekend!
Kiyotsugu's declaration shocks everyone, even Shima, at the sudden and last-minute club event.
Shima: Please, can we not do anymore of that...?
The blonde-haired boy laughs with nervousness.
Natsumi: I'll pass, too.
Saori: I'll do the same.
The two best friends quickly leave before the yokai otaku made any efforts to make them go.
Kiyotsugu: Wait up a minute! The Kiyojuji Paranormal Patrol has to stick together!
The girls stop in front of the Nura brothers.
Saori: We'd be imposing, right, Nura?
Kiyotsugu rushes over to them.
Kiyotsugu: You don't want us to come, Nura-kuns?!
Natsumi: Just refuse him already.
Kiyotsugu: You're not against my idea, are you?!
