At nighttime in Ukiyoe Town, a drunk businessman wanders through the streets, wobbling his way back home when he suddenly stops when hears crunching sounds. He looks into a dark alleyway, squinting his eyes to see more clearly. He sees a small hoard of rats and a man with long blonde hair feasting on a dead woman's corpse. The businessman gasps. The unknown man pauses his feast when he hears the businessman. He turns his head, blood smeared across his mouth, and smirks at the drunk man. The businessman screams bloody murder as he was swiftly killed by the unknown man.
The form of a terrifying shadow causes a shriek of terror to echo through the night.

At school, I sit at my desk talking with Rikuo when Kiyotsugu comes in his laptop.
Kiyotsugu: All right, everyone! Time for a yokai quiz!
He shows his laptop screen to Natsumi, Saori, and Jiro.
Kiyotsugu: Which of the following fire yokai can fly and control birds is accompanied by birds? A. Tsurubebi; B. Furaribi; or C. Ubagabi?
Shima: C. Ubagabi?
Kiyotsugu: Wrong! The correct answer is B. Furaribi! You still have a lot to learn, Shima-kun. Incidentally, among the known yokai, about one-third are said to be fire yokai. Their goal is...

The others turn to Yura.
Kiyotsugu: You seem to know an awful lot about them, um...
Yura stands.
Yura: My name is Yura Keikain. By the way, animals that can turn into yokai are said to be the most dangerous, even to their fellow yokai. They possess intellect, but they are irrational. These traits make them extremely dangerous.
The group applause her for explanation.
Saori: Amazing.
Natsumi: You know a lot about yokai, Keikain-san.
Yura: You can call me Yura.
(YN): Is that girl possibly a yokai enthusiast, too?
Kana: Yura-chan, you seem to know a lot about yokai.
Yura: I suppose. They say that when the when there's a full moon, animals that turn into yokai have will decieve, attack, and devour to their heart's content. Please note to avoid them at all costs.
Kana: Ah, okay...
Kiyotsugu places his hand on her shoulder and holds up her hand, having a wide smile on his face.
Kiyotsugu: Amazing! I've been seeking a someone like you! By all means, you must join our Kiyojuji Paranormal Patrol!
Rikuo and I walk over to the group.
(YN) & Rikuo: Kiyojuji Paranormal Patrol?
Kiyotsugu: It's a group that I formed. The principle activity is searching for yokai. You two are our newest members.
(YN) & Rikuo: Us/Eh?!
Kiyotsugu: Of course you are, too, Ienaga-kun!
Kana: What?!
Kiyotsugu: By the way, newbie... I mean Yura-kun! Tonight, we will be having an induction ceremony. You will participate, too, won't you? I was thinking of having it at the Nura-kuns' home.
Rikuo: Ehh?! At our house?!
(YN): Why the heck do you want to have it there?!
Kiyotsugu: I hear it's a fairly creepy house. According to rumors, the neighbors seem to call it a yokai mansion.
